Mark Huckabone ha firmato questa petizione … -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Jones ha lanciato questa petizione e l'ha diretta a Robert T Jones e a 4 altri/altre Nicholas Alexander Jones, Age 27, was killed while riding his motorcycle in the city of Tampa. The wreck occurred June 26th, 2019 and Nicholas died June 28th, 2019. Nicholas was exceeding the speed limit while riding on a four-lane road with a median and no visual obstructions. The other driver, Miriam Hayes, age 33 made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle causing injuries incompatible with life. Miriam Hayes was operating her vehicle with a suspended drivers license and told the investigating officer that she saw the motorcycle, decided that he needed to slow down, and purposely pulled her car into his path. She saw the motorcycle and made the conscious decision that she would force him to slow down by placing her car into his path of travel. The flaw in that plan was that he had less than a second to respond and impacted the side of her vehicle and was thrown from his motorcycle. Every bone was broken in both legs. His hip was shattered. His liver and spleen were ruptured. His lungs were bruised. His heart was damaged by open heart massage in the emergency room. An artery in his neck was stretched to the point that it collapsed and prevented blood from flowing to his brain, ultimately causing his death. He lost consciousness laying in the road and never awakened. The States Attorney is considering charging Ms. Hayes with Misdemeanor Failure to Yield and Driving While License Suspended / Revoked. I believe Ms. Hayes statement to the police demonstrates a clear intent to place someone's life in danger and a clear lack of respect for human life. I feel that not charging Ms. Hayes with Vehicular Homicide or an equal charge, is saying that vigilantism is allowed and the death penalty for speeding is acceptable. It will clearly demonstrate that if a person sees a motorcyclist exceeding the speed limit, that person shall now be allowed to use any means necessary, up to and including deadly force, to slow this vehicle down. I am urging everyone, especially motorcycle riders, to demand that this person be charged with a felony in relation to the death of Nicholas Jones and that a jury of her peers is asked to determine if her decisions and negligence criminally caused the death of Nicholas.
