Read More STATEMENT BY THE BRITISH COMPARATIVE LITERATURE ASSOCIATION THE INVASION OF UKRAINE The BCLA condemns the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian military in the strongest terms. As a national association for international literature, we believe in peaceful, cross-cultural exchange. We express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine, whose lives are in evident danger, as well as with all those who have ties to Ukraine and are currently living through tremendous stress. We also stand in solidarity with Russians and Belarusians who risk their safety to stop their brutal regimes, as well as with labour migrants in these countries whose lives, incomes, and families are affected by war and sanctions. For further information on what we can do to help all those affected, please see Ukrainian Institute London: What you can do to help Ukraine and the Ukranians.
