WE ARE GETTING HITCHED

The dates are 28th Nov & 1st Dec '17 and we would like you to be a part of it.




HOW WE MET

Our story began in the fall of 2008 when we started our undergrad which is an
epitome of coincidence as we both belong to completely different parts of India.
We studied together for 4 years, became good friends and then worked at two
different places thousands of miles apart for another 4 years. As time passed
by, thanks to our destiny or I would say technology, life again brought us
together and finally we are all set to get married.





EVENTS

28th November

WEDDING 6PM-12AM

This is the main event in the entire wedding when the bride and the groom tie
the knot. The groom comes with the barat and is greeted by the bride side with
some dhol of course as maximum number of guests would be attending this event.
This is when the couple circle the sacred fire and are finally declared husband
and wife.

1st December

RECEPTION 7PM - 11PM

It is a post marriage event held generally at the groom's place. The wedding
reception party does not encompass of any customs or rituals and the place
generally looks mesmerizing as lavish cuisine and excellent dishes spice up the
entire ambience. The sole purpose of this party is to welcome the bride to the
groom's community.

UGH... DRESS CODES?

WEDDING 6PM-12AM

Indo-western
Ladies can flaunt their unconventional sarees, lehengas, anarkalis, dresses and
the list goes on whereas gentlemen can wear any kind of suit or just blazer. If
you don't like to wear a suit/blazer, you can do a high-neck (band gala)
waistcoat & shirt combo.

RECEPTION 7PM-11PM

Western
Elderly ladies can wear sarees, lehengas, anarkalis or dresses and the younger
ones can go western such as gowns if they wish or anything unconventional
whereas gentlemen can wear something similar to wedding but with a western pinch
as the theme is western for this event.
