OUR MISSION IS TO SAVE LIVES ABOUT US ABOUT US We are a Black led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives through water safety education, legislation, and increasing equitable access to swimming lessons and tools. WHO WE ARE 1,000 CHILDREN WILL LIKELY DIE AS A RESULT OF DROWNING THIS YEAR IN THE U.S. #1 CAUSE OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH FOR CHILDREN AGES 1-4 YEARS OLD 88% OF CHILD DROWNINGS OCCUR WITH AT LEAST ONE ADULT PRESENT 64% OF BLACK CHILDREN HAVE LITTLE TO NO ABILITY TO SWIM YORI'S STORY In 2018, Yori was at a friend’s house playing in the pool when he quietly slipped below the surface. When Yori was pulled from the water, it was clear that he was not breathing and did not have a pulse. After a few minutes of CPR, first responders arrived.
