Consequently, the interests of these children are often considered unimportant and are lost in the system. The Atlanta-based Keenan’s Kids Foundation was formed in 1993 to promote child advocacy and assist at-risk children. The Keenan’s Kids Foundation works hard educate the general public, law students and practicing lawyers so they are more aware of the needs of children at-risk in the legal system. Our press conferences and media campaigns, ethics speeches and the annual Law School Competition inform and advance the work of those who act on behalf of children. CHILD ADVOCACY The Keenan’s Kids Foundation is a premiere source for providing honest, commonsense information regarding child safety. Mr. Keenan’s book, 365 Ways to Keep Kids Safe, the Kids Safety Bulletin and the Article Syndication program all provide information to prevent child injury and promote the Foundation’s aim to inform the community on all levels. Contact Us 40728 KEENAN’S KIDS FOUNDATION NEWS Keenan’s Kids Foundation Welcomes Our Newest Board Member Rachel Boim Rachel Boim is a highly accomplished physical therapist and endurance athlete, whose dedication to both her profession and her passion for sports has made her an inspirational figure. Born and raised in the United States, Rachel’s thirst for knowledge and excellence guided her through a successful academic journey. Rachel met Don Keenan in 2004, where he represented her pro Bono in her struggle with the Fulton County School District for violation of first amendment rights. Through aid of the Keenan Foundation, she was able to overcome the difficulties placed on her and her family. Following her undergraduate studies, Rachel sought to contribute in a meaningful way in the field of healthcare and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham. As a physical therapist, Rachel demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her patients. Her resilience and dedication were particularly highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she served as a physical therapist in Intensive Care Units. Her expertise and compassionate care proved invaluable in aiding those who were critically ill, and her contribution during this challenging time was remarkable. Amidst her busy professional life, Rachel also pursued her love for outdoor activities and endurance sports. She has achieved multiple mountain speed records and is recognized as an accomplished endurance athlete. In addition, Rachel has also been involved in volunteering with at-risk youth, employing physical therapy as an alternative to opioids in pain management. Through this initiative, she has positively impacted the lives of many young individuals, offering them a holistic approach to pain relief, and improving their overall well-being. Outside her professional and athletic endeavors, Rachel is a devoted dog mom to Daisy Grace.
