SELECT SERVICE TYPE Once you select either the Department of Buildings (DOB) or a third-party agency to handle your inspection, they will be responsible for all necessary inspections until your permit is completed. 2. BOOK OR SCHEDULE Book a third-party inspection agency for your project, contract with them and let them handle your permits, or schedule an inspection event with DOB at no additional cost. 3. CHECK YOUR RESULTS Get the results of your inspections in email and check them anytime on your Tertius Dashboard. SELECT YOUR SERVICE TYPE PERMITS CAN BE INSPECTED EITHER BY THIRD-PARTY OR BY DOB INSPECTORS THIRD-PARTY CONSTRUCTION INSPECTIONS Inspection fees are set by third-party companies and paid through Tertius * Regular and special inspections * Only DOB - approved agencies * Transparent pricing and easy online payment Select TPIA DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS CONSTRUCTION INSPECTIONS The cost of the inspection is already included in the permit fees * Inspections are available at no additional cost * Schedule inspections within two (2) weeks * DOB inspectors are certified and approved Select DOB JOIN THE THIRD-PARTY PROGRAM AS AN AGENCY All inspectors in Tertius must be approved by DOB and comply with the terms and conditions as outlined in the Third-Party Program Procedure Manual in addition to the terms and conditions noted on this site. New applications are considered from January 1 to March 1. * STAFF Provide a list of your Professional(s)-In-Charge and affiliated inspectors who will certify, supervise, and perform third-party inspections. * QUALITY ASSURANCE Describe the method you use to maintain the quality of all plan review and inspection services you provide. The quality assurance plan must be submitted as part of the application for a new agency as well as recertification of an existing agency. * INSURANCE Each inspection agency obtains and maintains Errors and Omissions Coverage for each occurrence in the minimum amount of $1,000,000.
