Our Focus

We specialize in representing good people facing DUI charges. Our work also
includes:

 * Representing our clients on the many related criminal charges that an officer
   can add during a DUI investigation,
 * Representing good people facing Marijuna-based DUI
 * Helping our clients through the driver license consequences that accompany a
   DUI arrestor conviction,
 * Helping our clients position themselves to look as good as possible to
   minimize any possible sentence that a judge could impose, and
 * Expunging criminal records when cases are concluded.

Reynolds Defense Firm Vision

If you’ve been arrested, the first thing you need is to find the right law firm
to help you - the kind of law firm that you can place your faith and trust into,
a law firm that you can believe in, and one that will believe in you too. The
Reynolds Defense Firm is exactly that kind of law firm for the clients we work
with. Our passion is helping our clients create success stories, both in the
courtroom and in life.

We change peoples’ lives by helping them understand why they were arrested and
by giving them the tools and encouragement to address the real problems in their
lives.

We only represent Clients we believe in

Our courtroom success also comes from our reputation for only working with a
certain type of folks – folks that I call “good people.” We don’t represent
everyone who wants to hire us. We only accept clients that we can believe in. I
guess you could say that we invest in our clients - when we stand next to a
client in front of a judge, we are telling the whole world that we believe in
this person, regardless of whether they did or didn’t do something wrong. By
accepting a person as a Reynolds Defense Firm client, our reputation speaks for
us, and automatically conveys to the entire criminal justice system

- the judge, prosecutor, court staff, even police officers - that we believe our
client is someone worth taking a closer look at. At the Reynolds Defense Firm,
we get to know each client we work with as a person, not just as a legal
problem. We want to know who our clients are – who the people are in their
lives, where they work, what they do for fun, and even their hopes and dreams.
The better we know our clients as people, the better we can pull them out of a
set of negative police reports and help the court see our clients as real
people, not just as defendants in a criminal case.

Legal and Personal Consequences

An arrest can have consequences beyond just the legal battles, some that you may
not be able to see right now because your focus is on the court date in front of
you. Part of why our clients hire us is our ability to help them understand both
their immediate circumstance and their big picture. We have helped thousands of
folks through the legal and personal consequences of being arrested, and while
we are always learning, we are rarely surprised. This means we can help you get
past the fear of the unknown to understand, anticipate, and plan for what may be
coming your way.
We also want to help you understand what led to your arrest. Without at least a
real conversation about the underlying reasons for your arrest, I don’t think we
are doing a good job for you, because if you don’t know what got you here this
time, you don’t know what to change to ensure you don’t end up here again.

While most businesses want repeat customers, we don’t! We tell each client that
we hope they never need to call us again – of course if they need help we want
them to call us, but the truth is, we hope they never need our services again.
If needed, we also provide you with the resources and support you need to help
make sure you come out of the other side of this experience better off than when
you began. This can range from our recommending various “homework” assignments,
to participation in the Blue Binder Project for clients that are ready to use
their arrest as a true opportunity to get more enjoyment out of life and to
become a better person – both for themselves and for their family and friends.

What We Won’t Do

The general guidelines of the type of people and cases we accept here at the
Reynolds Defense Firm come from of my own experiences and personal views of
right and wrong. The end result is that we have a narrow specialization – DUI
law – and we help only a specific group of people within that specialty – good
people – for one reason: I absolutely believe in the work that we do at RDF, and
it makes me feel good to know that we make a difference in so many peoples’
lives.
To decide what we will or won’t accept, I’ve developed my own internal test: if
I’ve ever committed this crime, if I have a buddy who’s ever committed this
crime, or if I can see me or a buddy of mine doing something this foolish at

some point in our lives, then I can represent you on it.
Now, I’ve had some pretty interesting friends, so that list of what we can help
people with may be broader than you might think, but here is an extreme example:
I’ve never killed or sexually assaulted anyone, and with my background as a
prosecutor I am unwilling to defend someone whose been accused of violent crimes
against another person. While people charged with those crimes certainly need
and deserve good legal help, I know that I wouldn’t be able to do a great job at
helping someone who intentionally hurt someone else through an act of violence
or sex crime, so we do not accept those types of cases.

What We Believe

We believe you deserve to be able to trust in your lawyer. At the risk of
sounding like I just fell off the turnip truck, let me share a few more of the
other things we believe in: we believe in practicing law with honesty and
integrity. We believe that a few bad moments do not somehow undo an entire
lifetime of being a good person. We believe that everyone who calls us for a
free consultation will leave our phone call better off than when we started. We
believe that focusing our firm on just one area of law allows us to do the best
work possible for our clients. And last but not least, we believe in what we do
– we represent good people facing DUI charges.
