WELCOME TO THE FOLLY HOTEL

We are situated in the centre of North Berwick, a small town with a long and
rich history. Our building is very much part of its heritage, having once been
the fire station for the town and also the shop of James Watt, a renowned golf
club maker, in the early 1900’s. Now it is a boutique hotel with 7 en-suite
rooms, a welcoming breakfast area, and a small bar and lounge for the comfort of
our guests.

We are well situated for the many golf courses in the region and we are directly
opposite the North Berwick Links golf course. There are over 20 golf courses
within a 20-minute drive from our front door, making it a great base for a
golfing holiday. We are less than 40 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh, and North
Berwick has many bus and train services to get you quickly and effortlessly into
Scotland’s capital.

North Berwick is a great base for you to explore all the attractions of the
city, as well as exploring the beautiful coast line, quaint villages and many
castles in the region. Our little town has a great selection of shops and
wonderful restaurants. We also have the Scottish Seabird Centre in the harbour,
where you can find out about all the bird life in the area, and take a boat ride
out to Bass Rock to get a close look at the famous gannet colony.

You’re also likely to spot puffins and whales in season!

North Berwick is the second to last stop of the John Muir Way. This famous
walking trail can be done in 10 days and takes you from coast to coast – from
Helensburgh in the west to Dunbar in the east – through the diverse landscape of
central Scotland. The Folly Hotel is directly on the route of this wonderful
trail.

We have a selection of different room types on offer. Our room rate includes
a comprehensive and delicious breakfast. Our staff offer a personal and
attentive service and are there to make sure you are comfortable and have a
great stay in North Berwick.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Folly.
