How can you win against a covert narcissist?

You win against a covert narcissist, by allowing them to defeat themselves.

The reason covert narcissists often turn others into their enemies, is because
they feel it is easier to defeat other people than to defeat the real enemy —
themselves.

To defeat the real enemy within, means fixing themselves. Improving. Achieving
personal growth. All things they struggle massively with, a true lifelong
battle.

To distract from the true primary enemy within, they so often create secondary
and less threatening enemies, which are other people.

Yes, the secondary enemies can be be a real threat, disruptive and all, but the
threat posed by the primary enemy within is on a whole different level.

The moment you choose not to be their friend, foe,or anything for that matter;

The moment you refuse from cushioning them from their own blows and overall self
harm;

You are forcing them to face themselves, a battle which cannot be won.
