President Biden, who isn’t shy about boasting of his Irish heritage, began
celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on Friday by welcoming Irish Prime Minister Leo
Varadkar to the White House before speaking at the Friends of Ireland Luncheon
at the Capitol hosted by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).

White House counsel Ed Siskel is sending a letter Friday to Johnson, urging him
to close the impeachment inquiry into Biden.
Former president Donald Trump is scheduled to return to the campaign trail
Saturday to speak at a rally in Dayton, Ohio. The Buckeye State is one of
several that hold primaries Tuesday.
U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon shot down one of Trump’s bids to toss out
charges against him for allegedly mishandling classified documents following a
hearing in Florida on Thursday that Trump attended.
