WELCOME TO DICE LAB We are a research lab at the Institution for Applied IT at the University of Gothenburg. DICE stands for Digitalisation, Interaction, Cognition, and Emotion - the four core areas of our research. At DICE Lab, we work at the intersection of innovative digitalisation, human/technology interaction, cognitive science and human factors as well as biometric affective computing and research into safety and trustworthiness of AI. We consist of a team of researchers across multi- and interdisciplinary fields and collaborate with both partners in industry and within academia to align empirical investigations and research methodologies to real-world applications. Interaction We research interaction mainly in terms of the relationship between humans and technology but also cover social aspects of interaction. Cognition Human factors of cognition is a central focus of our research. Emotion Our research examines the role of emotions in human experiences of technology interactions and digitalisation.
