JAN HENDRIK ANSINK: FOUNDER & INVESTOR BASED IN BERLIN, GERMANY.

I LOVE BUILDING DIGITAL PRODUCTS, AND SUPPORTING THOSE WHO DARE.

ABOUT ME

My journey as an entrepreneur began in 2006 when I founded a marketplace for
artists and musicians while studying business and economics at the European
Business School, Stockholm, and Harvard University.

After my graduation in 2010, Patrick McKenna and Frederik Fleck, two successful
business angels from the US and Germany, supported me in building ExpertCloud, a
virtual call center. I created the fundament and scaled the company from 1 to
200 agents, serving popular B2B clients, such as, Tchibo, Sky, and Lampenwelt.

Today, I serve as the CEO of Volders - Germany's biggest legal tech. We have
served over 8m customers. I founded Volders in 2014 and acquired our main
competitor, Aboalarm, in 2022, and FINE Legal in 2024.

My passion lies in creating a firm’s strategy, building and tweaking digital
products, and finding exceptionally talented people.

In addition to my role as CEO, I enjoy supporting founders as an angel and
advisor.

HOW I CONTRIBUTE

I'm an active investor, and I'm committed to providing support wherever I can
add value to your business. I offer firsthand experience, having encountered all
entrepreneurial challenges as a sole founder scaling from 0 up to 200 employees
and bring to the table a substantial network of product experts, advisors, legal
professionals, and fellow investors.

While I do enjoy a company's growth, my real interest lies in solving the tough
parts: the challenges, obstacles, and setbacks that come with building a
business. It is demanding, and very few can deal with the emotional and mental
toll. I find fulfillment in tackling these phases.

💵
Raising a round? Please send me your pitch deck and financials. My preference
are early-stage companies (from idea to Series B). You can contact me via
Linkedin, or send an email to <replacewithmyfirstname>@ansink.capital.

BOOKS YOU SHOULD READ

Over the past few years, these titles have stood out as my personal favorites,
each offering unique insights for founders, CEO, product managers and managers.
I promise you that all of them are worth reading:

The Great CEO Within (by Matt Mochary): This one's a must-read for all founders
and CEOs of florishing companies. Matt shares loads of experience and wisdom
crammed into just a few pages (Read more).

Hacking Growth (by Sean Ellis & Morgan Brown): Sean, renowned for Dropbox's
viral growth hack, co-authors a book with Morgan, offering valuable instructions
and tales from the Valley. They detail how startups crack the code for
extraordinary growth (Read more).

The Lean Product Playbook (by Dan Olsen): If you're all about creating
top-notch, market-driven products using lean principles, Dan Olsen's got your
back. His book is your go-to guide for product managers and entrepreneurs (Read
more).

Continuous Discovery Habits (by Teresa Torres): Torres advocates for making
customer conversations a daily routine. It guides integrating real-time feedback
into product development, advocating for continuous engagement to ensure
products evolve with customer needs (Read more).

Ride of a Lifetime (by Robert Iger): Robert Iger's wild ride as Disney's CEO for
15 years. I absolutely love this book because it's authentic, inspiring, and
packed with entertaining behind-the-scenes stories involving the legendary Steve
Jobs (Read more).

The Messy Middle (by Scott Belsky): Every startup kicks off with enthusiasm,
but sooner or later, you'll find yourself in darkness and despair. Scott, the
founder of Behance, spills the beans on how to navigate the messy middle (Read
more).

Work Rules (by Laszlo Bock): Laszlo, ex-Google SVP HR, on how to build a
workplace culture that's off the charts. He's got some valuable insights on
creating an environment where your employees can shine and come up with
groundbreaking stuff (Read more).
