Send Flowers Share WILLIAM THOMSON OBITUARY THOMSON William “Bill” Thomson Jr., formally of Saugus,passed away on April 24, 2010 at the age of 82 in Lehigh Areas, Florida.Bill leaves his wife of 25 years, Barbara Shorey Timson,formally of Saugus, their son Scott, stepchildren Bobby and Ruthie and his sister Jean Copeland of Washington State. Near to his heart is his granddaughter Vickie. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Emily, hisbrother Fred, hiswives Bev Kelliher Giles of Medford and Phyllis Woodof Reading. Bill's children with Bev are: Billy, Fran, Deb, Beverly, Terry, Tracy and John and step-childrenScott, Michelle and Michael. Phyllis's children are: Terry, Larry, Barry, Diane, Kathy, Jimmy, and Bunny. Bill also leaves behind 49 grandchildren and at last count 38 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bill was a WWII US Navy Veteran and amember ofVFW Saugus Post 2346 & Lehigh Post, the Fleet Reserve Assoc., the American Legion Lehigh post and the D.A.V. Lehigh Chapter 94. Internment was private with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell Florida. Family and Friends are cordially invited to a memorial to honor his life on May 30, 2010 at the D.A.V., 85 Willow Street, Malden, MA from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
