SDL under the administrative guidance of its Vice Chairman, Mr. Imran Tajammul
actually worked in the forefront of the automobile industry of Pakistan. Mr.
Imran Tajammul has amassed over four decades of work experience across the
automotive sector of Pakistan. Mr. Imran Tajammul led mergers, marketing and
indigenization at Allied Engineering and Services Ltd for thirteen years, where
he brokered partnerships with companies like Caterpillar and Ford Motor Company.
Ford is the second-largest U.S.-based automaker (preceded by General Motors) and
the fifth-largest in the world based on 2010 vehicle sales.

Mr. Imran Tajammul introduced Fort automobiles and tractors in Pakistan, and
successfully indigenized the technologies for the local market. He also
developed dealerships for the high achieving brand al lover Pakistan. His work
included extensive collaboration with principal partners in the United Kingdom

time at Allied included a year long immersive training session at Ford Motor
Company’s Manufacturing Plant at Basildon, United Kingdom.

Mr. Tajammul has also attended extensive workshops on Oil Production, as a
consultant to Haroon Oils – a sister concern of Allied Engineering. Before
bringing Ford Motor Company products to Pakistan in the early 90s, Mr. Imran
Tajammul successfully brokered deals with a large array of car manufacturing
concerns, including SKODA, VOLVO, MAZDA, DODGE and later the launch of DONG FENG
China in Pakistan at M/s Eye Tee International. Besides Ford automobiles, Allied
Engineering was the first company in Pakistan to indigenize a foreign technology
by 70%. This resulted in enhanced affordability for the local consumer and in
less than 4 years, Ford Tractors became a leading brand in the burgeoning
tractor manufacturing industry. Allied Engineering also specialized in
introducing power generation, mining equipment, specialized vehicles required
for heavy construction. Mr. Imran Tajammul played an instrumental role in
introducing Caterpillar products to Pakistan.

With more than US$89 billion in assets, Caterpillar was ranked number one in its
industry and number 44 overall in the 2009 Fortune 500 list of companies. Since
then Mr. Imran Tajammul had developed substantial marketing prowess, which he
has extended into new industries. In 2001, he established Reliance Petroleum
(Pvt.) Ltd that specialized in the sale and marketing of imported petroleum
products. In 2004, he also acquired a line of 3S automobile workshop, registered
as Eyetee Motors alongwith DONG FENG (China). In addition to being the Vice
Chairman of Solar Dynamics (Pvt.) Limited. Mr. Imran Tajammul is also a Director
at Vibe Satellite Television Network (a global satellite TV channel) and Jaan
Pakistan (a social enterprise introduce renewable energy solutions to low-income
communities across Pakistan). SDL Automotive Division is currently working
toward the introduction of an international commercial vehicles manufacturer for
the introduction of their products in this market to meet the ever going demand
in Pakistan
