EMI THERMAL PRODUCTS

At EMI Thermal we have developed a variety of products to aid a wide range of
manufacturing sectors thermally manage their components and ensure EMC
compliance. Even though our Thermal Interface Materials and EMI / RFI shielding
products are extremely cost-effective they have been designed to meet the most
demanding requirements. Materials are available in sheets and rolls for you to
form yourselves or we can offer ready to use custom-made parts and gaskets. Our
knowledgeable support team will be happy to discuss all aspects of your

THERMAL INTERFACE MATERIALS

Thermal Interface Materials (TIM) are an essential part of thermal management of
modern electronics. Without a consideration of thermal management, components
are likely to overheat resulting in poor performance, damage, and failure.
Heatsinks are often used to manage excess heat or components is placed in direct
contact with the product chassis to enable the heat a path to escape. Those
areas of contact are never flat, and any voids or gaps will be filled with air
which is a notoriously poor conductor of heat. A Thermal Interface Material is
used to fill those voids / gaps, removing the air, to provide an efficient path
for the heat to escape. A range of TIM materials are available; a hardness
(shore) and thickness and can be chosen for your specific application.

EMI & RFI SHIELDING

Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) are
terms which are often used interchangeably but EMI is actually any frequency of
electrical noise and RFI a defined subset of electrical noise appearing on the
on the EMI spectrum. Unless managed EMI / RFI can interrupt, stop or limit the
performance of an electronic circuit. Shielding should be used to prevent
unwanted emissions or signals leaking from or coming into manufactured
electronic products. EMI Thermal offer a range of shielding items including
absorbing products and gasket materials. These close gaps between lids on
enclosures, cabinet panels, doors or apertures and providing grounding and
shielding to reduce or eliminate EMI and RFI.
