We considered many gorgeous locations for our elopement but Covid induced restrictions led us to settle on Moab, and man oh man, we are sure glad we did! We arrived in Moab late on the Sunday evening before our wedding. We didn't get to see much as twilight was passing and the dark was settling in. Out of pure excitement, Karah woke up at an ungodly hour on Monday and insisted Cass get up to get their day going. As you can imagine she was not thrilled, but once we both got a glimpse outside, her mindset completely changed. We couldn't believe our eyes! Monday was all about wedding prep. We got our marriage license first thing and as true Seattleites, hit up the best coffee shop in town to get our day started. We spent the rest of the day exploring where we wanted to have our ceremony. National parks were limiting visitors due to Covid and we weren't sure we would even be able to access the park on our wedding day (We tried to visit Arches on Monday but the park was full so we were turned around). We, and by we I mean mostly Cass, had spent the weeks prior working with our photographer to find the perfect elopement spot. We had many places on our list to visit, but as we were exploring our first spot, we knew it was the one. We continued searching Tuesday (have to do our due diligence) but both agreed Looking Glass Arch was magical and the perfect place for our elopement. Wednesday we woke up to perfect weather, got fancy, and got married! We had a pizza picnic with champagne and a ate cake hiding rainbow layers on the inside. We spent the afternoon and evening traveling all around Moab with our photographer to get the perfect shots to help remember our big day. So why desert & dancing? Our photographer pointed out many times that we (mostly Cass) would bust out in spontaneous dance during our photo sessions. Some of the best photos of the day are of us busting a move. ;) Our elopement could not have been more perfect.
