Does Wallet Guard connect to my wallet?

Yes, Wallet Guard have a direct interaction with your wallet for security
scanning purpose but we can never move your assets or make decisions for you.

However, the Wallet Guard Security Dashboard does require you to connect &
sign-in if you choose to run an optional security scan of your wallet.

Your preferred wallet extension cannot communicate with our extension, or any
other extension for that matter. It would be a significant security
vulnerability if they allowed private keys or seed phrases to be exposed.

Transactions are simulated through the following flow:
▸ transaction data gets passed between dApps and your wallet via the
window.ethereum object in your browser, then
▸ we proxy window.ethereum to run a simulation on the transaction data without
modifying anything in the request

This never requires any access to your wallet extension or the underlying
wallet; you can verify this claim by visiting our extension's open-source
GitHub. The code you see here is exactly what gets published to the Chrome Web
Store as our devops pipeline pushes it directly.

In the future we will enable premium features, but for now we are 100% free.

Wallet Guard is not an antivirus; we share similarities in protecting end-users,
