INTRODUCTION



The Bangladesh Cutter Suction Dredger Owners’ Association (BCSDOA) is the
national representative body for private contractors engaged in dredging
activities across Bangladesh. Given the country’s unique geographical position
as part of the largest river delta in the world, dredging plays a critical role
in maintaining navigable waterways, protecting riverbanks, and reclaiming land
for development.

BCSDOA envisions Bangladesh as a global leader in sustainable dredging
practices, with a focus on innovative technologies that contribute to the
development of the nation while preserving its natural environment. Our motto,
“From Depth to Development, We Lead”, reflects our commitment to advancing both
economic and environmental goals.

- To advocate for the interests of private dredging contractors and ensure fair
opportunities in public tenders.
- To promote cutting-edge dredging technologies that enhance operational
efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
- To collaborate with government bodies such as BIWTA and BWDB in implementing
national projects that align with sustainable development goals.
- To foster research and development that advances the capacity of the dredging
industry in Bangladesh.
