ONE GOD.
ONE LORD.
ONE SPIRIT.
ONE COMMUNITY.

About UCI

UCI's response to the current crisis in Haiti:

Food Relief--to the refugees from Port-au-Prince, the widows and orphans, and
the people who are struggling to find food.

Education--we only want to provide relief for a short time and our goal is
always towards development. During these difficult times, Christian education at
all levels is the hope for a transformed community and country. We place an
emphasis on providing quality education from preschool to university to develop
Christian leaders

Church--God is at work; He never abandons us. We see Him working in these times
and even see revival occurring. UCI wants to teach the Word to all who God puts
in our path and at every opportunity.

Some sobering statistics of the situation in Haiti (March 2024)

> over 362,00 internally displaced families in Haiti
> UN reported millions in Haiti suffering from food insecurity; 44% of
population facing acute hunger; hundreds dying each day from hunger
> 53% yearly food inflation rate
> 4,789 documented murders in 2023
> 26% of female population have been victims of rape

WHO WE ARE

JeanJean and Kristie Mompremier founded United Christians International (UCI) in
2003 and returned to JeanJean’s birthplace in 2005. UCI’s primary goal has
always been to teach the Word of God. As a result, over 30 witch doctors have
turned to Christ, churches have been planted in far-reaching communities, and
communities have transformed from despair to hope.

TEACHING. EQUIPPING. UNITING.

Helping people know and experience God by teaching, equipping, and uniting.

TEACHING
THE WORDS OF GOD

Our goal is to provide quality Christian education to our rural areas, with a
big emphasis on providing a safe and encouraging learning environment,
resources, and hiring certified teachers with a heart for the Lord.

How We Teach

EQUIPPING
NATIONAL LEADERS

UCI continues to grow and meet the spiritual, medical, educational, and
agricultural needs of the community, while touching the lives of Haitians
through sharing, studying, and living out the Gospel.

How We Equip

UNITING
CHRISTIANS AROUND THE WORLD

God has used UCI to not only unite Christians in the surrounding 9 villages in
Caiman, but throughout the world through short-term missions teams and service
projects.

How We Unite

EPHESIANS 4:3-6

"Work hard to live together as one by the help of the Holy Spirit. Then there
will be peace. There is one body and one Spirit. There is one hope in which you
were called. There is one Lord and one faith and one baptism. There is one God.
He is the Father of us all. He is over us all. He is the One working through us
all. He is the One living in us all."

UCI SPOTLIGHT

Grateful Despite Difficult Circumstances

We have shared about the revival happening in the mountain church plant of Bas
La Rivière.  Pastor Luckson and his wife are not from this area, but felt God’s
calling to preach in this remote area.  Similar to the start of UCI, there was
not any resources available for any other ministry except to preach the Word.
And, as we found, this is the best place to start and to follow.  Revival
happened in this small church and over 30 witch doctors and many of their
followers have found the Light and left vodou. Praise His Holy Name!
Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean that everything becomes easy.  Pastor Luckson
and his wife are experiencing persecution from witch doctors who have seen the
decrease of their power in their area. People that were involved in vodou are
witnessing the life-changing power of God’s Word and turning away from trying to
buy security from the witch doctors.  There have also been jealousy and
misunderstanding from churches that have felt threatened from this revival that
didn’t happen in their congregations.  I wish that serving the Lord guaranteed
unity and ease, but we are not in heaven, yet.  We will face trials BUT God is
always with us.  So how to handle this kind of trial?  Pastor Luckson and his
family felt their lives threatened and went down the mountain and asked to stay
with some people that knew.  The elders and deacons of the church understood the
need, but decided on their own to travel the 6 hours down and up the mountain to
escort Pastor Luckson to church on Sunday which meant leaving at 3 AM.  They fed
him after church, and then hiked the round trip again to bring back.  Meanwhile,
UCI gave food to each of the churches in the surrounding areas so as to
encourage them and show God’s love.  Pastor Jeanjean and Pastor Luckson met with
the pastors of each of these churches so they could pray together and talk about
the problems and needs of this area and ask God to lead them in knowing how to
work to address these problems Biblically.  These problems won’t be solved
overnight, but we know God wants us to glorify Him in how we relate to others.
Please help us in praying for Pastor Luckson and his family, for the Bas La
Riviere church and community, and for the Church to unite as the body of Christ.

University Student Spotlight

UCCC graduates are changing the face of Haiti!

Do you see #3 and #10? These are our students!! The document to the left  is
translated: State University of Haiti Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy
Result--foreign, public, and private hospital residency academic year 2023-2024.
In Haiti, there are very few options to continue your studies to get a
master's, doctorate, or for a medical doctor, to get training in a speciality.
The competition for the few available opportunities is intense.  Thousands took
the test, but only 94 passed the vigorous exam. Dr. Toriste Alexander Christophe
obtained the 2nd highest score and Dr. Joseph Faustin achieved the 4th highest
score.  We are grateful that these doctors want to continue to study to help
their country.  Dr. Toriste desires to be a OB-GYN and Dr. Faustin wants to be a
general surgeon.
