2-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION


USER EMAIL ADDRESS

2-factor authentication can now be enabled in the Security Settings page.
Enabling this will require users logging in to add their email address to their
account.

More information

Adding an email address to a new user account is now mandated. The email address
is currently only used when 2-factor authentication is enabled.

Efficiency Testing

BETA: An efficiency test gauges the potential of the connection before slowly
ramping up in cycles. The efficiency of the connection is then calculated.

Line View

The standard user inferface for the speed test.

Application test: An application test simulates one data session between the
client and the test server.

Multi User Capacity test: A capacity test simulates multiple user sessions
between the client and the test server. This example simulates 4 downstream
users.

Bandwidth test: Assess the highest available bandwidth for a connection.

HTTP test: A test that uses HTTP rather than sockets for running the test.

The web test simulates a very basic download and upload test using pure HTML5
and JavaScript; no need for the BCS. However, the test is not as accurate.
