Following the fursuit subreddit has become more and more frustrating lately. I
feel like there is a fursuit fandom that is separate from the furry fandom. Kids
(seems to mostly be younger people, anyway) want fursuits and they don't care
how they come about them - they will risk being scammed because it's cheap, they
will buy something mass produced. They don't have a fursona and don't have any
concept of furry culture or what it means to perform a character. They just want
an animal costume!!! I assume this is coming from the popularity of fursuit
videos on tiktok and similar social media. I hate it!

A wealth of real human knowledge lives on reddit, stack exchange, etc-- Given
the sheer volume of AI slop and SEO fake pages with "articles" the better
content is hard to find. This is most true if looking for help on a subject you
know little about.

How could we motivate a collaborative not-for-profit catalog of the better
content silo'd off from the commercial web? How to fund it and keep it current?

Basically a *staffed* online library for the world. And not just of books and
publications.
