1. What is the “3x the Miles” benefit?
BMO AIR MILES WORLD ELITE MASTERCARD:
* As a BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard holder, you will now get
rewarded even sooner with the new earn rate. You get 1 AIR MILES® Reward
Mile for every $12 spent on all purchases, and 3x the Miles when using
the credit card at participating Partners.
* That’s 3 Miles for every $12 spent on the credit card for the items you
need most – like gas and groceries – at participating Partners. Plus, get
1 Mile for every $12 spent everywhere else.
* The “3x the Miles” benefit will be added to your BMO AIR MILES World
Elite Mastercard starting May 2021 and applied to all purchases that
appear on your June 2021 statement. You’ll get more Miles on the
purchases you make at participating AIR MILES Partners.
BMO AIR MILES MASTERCARD:
* The “3x the Miles” benefit will be added to your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard
products with no annual fee as of November 3, 2020. This new benefit gets
you 3 Miles for every $25 spent in eligible purchases at participating
AIR MILES Partners. You will continue to get 1 Mile for every $25 spent
in eligible purchases made everywhere else. There is no additional cost
to gain this benefit. You can continue to enjoy all the great benefits
and features of your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard product, without having to
pay an annual card fee.
2. Can I get 3x the Miles when I buy travel or merchandise through airmiles.ca?
Yes! AIR MILES is considered a 3x Partner for merchandise, top-up and some
travel-related purchases made on airmiles.ca and charged to a BMO AIR MILES
Credit Card.
Travel-related purchases include taxes and fees on flight, car and hotel
redemption bookings. Please note, 3x Miles does not apply to the insurance
portion of a Travel booking.
3. Who are the participating AIR MILES Partners, so I know where to shop?
Participating AIR MILES Partners may be added or removed at any time. A full
list of AIR MILES Partners participating in the 3x the Miles benefit can be
reviewed at airmiles.ca/bmopartners.
4. Is there a limit to how many Miles I can get with the 3x the Miles benefit?
Don’t worry, there’s no limit to how many Miles you can get with this
benefit.
5. What purchases are eligible under the “3x the Miles” benefit?
Every $25 in eligible purchases made at participating AIR MILES Partners
charged to your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard product(s) with no annual fee or
every $12 in eligible purchases made with a BMO AIR MILES World Elite
Mastercard at participating Partners qualifies for the 3x the Miles benefit.
Please note that refunded transactions, cash advances, cash-like
transactions, interest charges, fees, credit and debit adjustments are
excluded. Participating AIR MILES Partners may be added or removed at any
time without notice; visit the “Partners Near You” section of this web page
for current participating Partner details.
6. Why did I not receive the “3x the Miles” benefit on my recent purchase made
at an AIR MILES Partner?
Some purchases may not be eligible for the 3x the Miles benefit rate. These
reasons could be one listed below:
* You must make purchases using a BMO AIR MILES Credit Card when shopping
at a participating AIR MILES Partner. Participating AIR MILES Partners
may be added or removed at any time without notice. Visit the “Partners
Near You” section of this web page for current participating Partner
details.
* Miles are awarded on purchases charged to your credit card account only
and will be adjusted for refunds. Purchases do not include cash advances,
cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, and credit and debit
adjustments.
7. How will 3x the Miles be calculated when I shop with participating Partners?
BMO calculates the Reward Miles based on the total amount you spend
cumulatively at all participating AIR MILES Partners during your most recent
statement period. Your benefit of 3x the Miles is calculated separately from
the other Miles you get, and all Miles are rounded down to the nearest whole
number.
8. How long will it take for the Miles to be deposited into my AIR MILES
Collector Account?
Regular Miles can take up to 60 days after the end of the applicable
statement period to be credited to your Account, while your acquisition
Bonus Miles can take up to 120 days.

Reward Miles for every $25 in purchases at participating AIR MILES Partners.
Participating AIR MILES Partners may be added or removed at any time without

participating AIR MILES Partners and credited to your account within 90 days
after the end of the applicable statement period. The number of Miles earned
will be rounded down to the nearest whole number. Fractions of Miles will not
be awarded. Eligible purchases are purchases charged to your credit card
account (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions,
interest charges, fees and credit or debit adjustments). The “3x the Miles”

* Exclusive 25% Flight Booking Discount: If you have the BMO AIR MILES World
Elite Mastercard, once per calendar year when you redeem Reward Miles for any
flight booking, you will receive a 25% discount on the number of AIR MILES
Reward Miles that are usually required (to a maximum of 750 Reward Miles)
when you book through airmiles.ca or by calling 1-888-247-6453.
The flight booking discount applies to the full flight booking and will be
distributed equally on each ticket included in the booking, to a maximum of
750 Miles total. For example, if your booking included three 1,500 Miles
flights totalling 4,500 Miles, then each flight would receive a 250 Miles
discount, and you’d be required to redeem 3,750 Miles for the booking. Any
portion of the maximum 750 allocated discounted Miles unused in the one
eligible flight booking transaction will be forfeited. You can choose when to
apply the discount – for example, on your first flight booking in the
calendar year; or save it to apply on another flight booking later in the
year – but it can only be used once per calendar year with no carry-overs
allowed to the following year. For greater clarification, the 25% flight
booking discount resets every calendar year and cannot be accumulated over
the years. This benefit can only be reset for the collector to use in the
same calendar year if the original booking where the benefit was used is
cancelled under all of the following conditions: (i) the booking was
cancelled in full (not for partial cancellations; i.e., one ticket), (ii) the
cancellation happens within the same year of booking, and (iii) the airline
issues a full refund for the booking. This benefit does not apply to Cash +
Miles rewards. There are no blackout periods for flight redemptions. This
benefit does not apply to the cash portion of the flight redemption (such as
airport improvement fees and booking fees) or to the flight component of
package vacations and cruises. This benefit cannot be combined with any other
offer.
Flight rewards offered are subject to the terms and conditions of the
AIR MILES Reward Program, are subject to change, and may be withdrawn without
notice. To use your Miles for flight rewards, you must have accumulated
sufficient Dream Miles in your collector account. Some restrictions apply.
Collectors must pay applicable surcharges, fees and taxes on flight rewards.
Flight rewards may be subject to a minimum advance booking and availability
from participating airlines. Changes, cancellations and refunds to flight
tickets will follow the fare rules of the booking airline and may be subject
to additional fees. For complete details, see current Program Terms and
Conditions available at airmiles.ca.
* Mastercard Travel Pass benefit includes membership to participating lounges
within the Mastercard Travel Pass provided by DragonPass program –
approximate membership value of US$68. Enjoy lounge access for a fee of just
US$32 per person, per visit. Mastercard Travel Pass provided by DragonPass is
a worldwide program run by DragonPass International Ltd. This benefit will be
available to all cardholders of a BMO AIR MILES World Mastercard, BMO
Cashback World Mastercard, BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard or BMO
Cashback World Elite Mastercard (all “eligible cardholders”). Eligible
cardholders are required to comply with the Conditions of Use available
online at mastercardtravelpass.dragonpass.com or on the Mastercard Travel
Pass mobile application, as well as any additional terms and conditions
applicable to the lounge or offer being used by the eligible cardholder. The
Conditions of Use are subject to change from time to time without notice to
Issuer or the eligible cardholders. Eligible cardholders wishing to access a
participating lounge must present their Mastercard Travel Pass mobile app or
membership document showing the QR code and DragonPass membership number
(this may be obtained by the eligible cardholder by registering an account at
mastercardtravelpass.dragonpass.com or downloading the Mastercard Travel Pass
application from the app store) to the lounge receptionist and reference
“Mastercard Travel Pass provided by DragonPass.” Some offers may be subject
to a per-person, per-visit charge. Where applicable and dependent upon the
offer, access charges, including those for an accompanying guest, may be
charged to your credit card. Value and benefits of the Mastercard Travel Pass
complimentary membership are subject to change without notice.
* Subject to Terms and Conditions, including limitations and exclusions
contained in the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Travel and Medical Protection
Certificate of Insurance, which is sent to new cardholders; please refer to
the Certificate for further details. Out-of-Province/Out-of-Country Emergency

* Get Miles twice when you use your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard and show your

on the earn rate offered by the AIR MILES Partner and the earn rate offered
on your BMO AIR MILES credit card.
* BMO AIR MILES Mastercard cardholder status terminate, then requalification
for Gold collector status is based on their collection of 1,000 eligible
Reward Miles in a calendar year. Should they qualify for Onyx collector
status based on their collection of 6,000 eligible Miles in a calendar year,
then the Onyx collector status supersedes the Partner Designation. Eligible
Miles are collected in connection with qualifying purchases made at
participating AIR MILES partners; see the partner listing section on
airmiles.ca. Certain Miles do not count towards the minimum eligible Mile
requirement (“Exclusions”). Exclusions include, but are not limited to,
refunded Miles, transferred Miles, any Miles collected through an employee
incent ive program, and Miles collected in connection with any specifically
excluded offer. Partner Designation is determined by AIR MILES in its sole
discretion. AIR MILES Gold collector status qualification requirements and

AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard cardholder (“Partner Designation”). Should
their BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard cardholder status terminate, then
requalification for Onyx collector status is based on their collection of
6,000 eligible Reward Miles in a calendar year. Eligible Miles are collected
in connection with qualifying purchases made at participating AIR MILES
partners; see the partner listing section on airmiles.ca. Certain Miles do
not count towards the minimum 6,000 eligible Mile requirement (“Exclusions”).
