Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive naturally after 1 year or
more of unprotected intercourse. Some females with infertility may have
irregular menstrual periods or no periods, and male may notice symptoms of
hormonal imbalance, such as changes in hair growth or sexual function. There are
many reasons that can lead to infertility in both male and females. Some causes
of infertility are preventable and can be examined, diagnosed, and can be

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO IVF PROCEDURE

The IVF process is performed to increase the chances of conception. The IVF

   implants in the uterine lining. A blood test is performed about two weeks
   after the transfer to confirm pregnancy.

 * Fibroids: Fibroids are a common type of non cancerous tumor that can develop

   urination or sexual discomfort, may result in problems when conceiving.
 * Polyps: Polyps are growths arising from the uterus’s inner wall. The
   overgrowth of cells in endometrium results in the formation of uterine
   polyps, which might result in heavy bleeding during the menstrual cycle and
   even between the cycle. These polyps can lead to abortion and infertility,
   which can be removed by a surgical procedure.
 * Tubal Factor: A blockage in the fallopian tubes prevents the fertilization of
   eggs and sperm, resulting in tubal factor infertility. Any abnormality in
   tubes like blockage, adhesions, or distortion can lead to infertility, and
   can be treated with IVF.
 * Genetic Factor: Many couples are unable to conceive and deliver a healthy
   baby due to genetic factors. An inherited chromosome abnormality may cause
   problems in conceiving and can be treated with IVF.
 * Age Factor: The most important factor determines a woman’s ability to
   conceive and deliver a healthy baby. The prime reproductive years for women
   to get pregnant successfully are 25-35. Once you enter your 30’s, your
   chances of conception starts to decline.


MALE FACTORS

   health and can cause scarring that blocks the passage of sperm, which may
