About
Peace One Day's objective is to institutionalise Peace Day 21 September, and
create a more just, inclusive, sustainable and peaceful world. Throughout the
years, millions of people have been active on Peace Day in every country of the
world, and hundreds of organisations have carried out life-saving activities in
areas of conflict. Through putting out constructive narrative around the
fundamental issues of Humanity’s survival, we aim to inform, inspire and engage
people towards action that is measurable. We hope you enjoy the experiences that
we produce throughout the year.

25th Anniversary of Peace One Day
Peace Day 21 September 2024 marks the 25th Anniversary of Peace One Day.
We have been humbled by the support given to Peace One Day throughout our
journey, from individuals, NGOs, schools, governments, artists and not least
from the United Nations, under three consecutive Secretary-Generals. It has been
the greatest privilege to raise awareness of this day as well as other crucial
international days in the global calendar. Watch this space as we are getting
ready for a global experience to celebrate 25 years of Peace One Day.

Value Of Action
An independent report in 2023 said that the total estimated reach of the
publications that mentioned Peace Day was 23 billion, meaning of course that
many people were exposed to the Peace Day message multiple times
Here is an update on the exposure statistics carefully monitored by Digitalis,
Social 360 and Signal AI. Our target is to have 3 billion people fully aware of
Peace Day by 2025. Awareness creates action and action saves lives! Peace One
Day's mission is to expose people to the message of Peace Day, 21 September.
Awareness of Peace Day manifests action and action reduces violence, as we
change our behaviour towards each other and our environment on and around the
21st September. We are inspired by the incredible work of the Institute for
Economics & Peace who have informed us that there appears to have been a 15%
decrease in deaths on 21 September 2022, compared to other days in the year.
