2022/2023 NHS PAY SCALES

2022 NHS Pay Scales - The National Health Service, funded by the public in
England, is one of four National Health Service systems. The NHS is second in
the world, after the Sistema Unico de Saude in Brazil. The NHS is primarily
funded by general taxes and managed by the Department of Health and Social Care.
It provides healthcare to all legal English residents of other parts of the UK.
Most services are free at the point of use. Some services, like emergency
treatment for infectious diseases, are available at no cost to most people, even
visitors.



These are the latest NHS pay scales. They include supporting salary calculation
and illustration of salary deductions (PAYE/NICs, Pension). Also, they show
take-home after-tax. This information benefits nurses starting in 2022/23 or
those who plan to raise their pay by one grade. This system applies to all
staff, except doctors, dentists, or senior managers. Each pay band has a certain
number of pay points. The team usually moves up to the next pay level each year
until they reach the top pay band. Staff who work in high-cost locations, such
as London, will receive additional pay on top of the basic salary.
