HARAS DE LA LOSQUETTE




ABOUT US

We moved to Normandy in December 2021 from the UK, to renovate “La Meriennerie”
and from there, develop Haras de la Losquette. We focus on breeding and
producing modern sport horses which could be suitable for showjumping or
eventing, and competing in national and international competitions ourselves.
We previously operated a successful competition yard in the UK, where Atte
offered training and Jodie trained and competed many horses successfully up to
CCI4L eventing and CSI3/1.40 level showjumping. Jodie has previously trained
extensively with Ian Woodhead (Team GB eventing dressage coach) and Nigel Taylor
(Team GB Selector).
Atte also holds his trainer qualification from L’ecole Nationale d’Equitation,
Cadre Noir de Saumur and has ridden for several international riders and
renowned studs across Europe.
In addition to riding, Jodie heads up Aria Grace Equine Law, working remotely
and advising UK based clients from Normandy.




ABOUT THE HORSES

We aim to breed modern, athletic horses, using a small number of foundation
mares with performance history. Each horse is treated as an individual in its
education. The majority of the horses are available for purchase, and we are
happy to discuss appropriate matches with clients.


We are based near St Lo, Normandy, in close proximity to international sea and
rail connections, and a number of national and international show centres. As
well as producing our own horses for competition and sale, we are happy to take
on horses’ to produce and compete for owners, and provide training and support
for other riders.
