Islam is not religion of formality. It is a religion of obligation. You fulfil
the obligation commanded by Allah, you get the reward. And if you do not fulfil
the obligation, you will not only not get the reward, but also be punished for
not fulfilling the obligation by Allah. While some punishments are given in the
akhirah (hereafter), some are given in the world itself. Muslims today are
suffering across the world, one of the main reasons behind this is unfulfillment
of commands given by Allah. Muslims should remember, just being born into a
Muslim family is not the criteria to get Allah’s blessing and support. The
criteria to get Allah’s blessing and support is to follow the commands of Allah.
In this article, we will try to discuss the obligations of Muslims in the order
of preference. It is mandatory for Muslims to fulfill these obligations to get
blessings of Allah and be victorious in this world and the hereafter.
