WIND TURBINES ARE DESTROYING THE PLANET

Green energy leads to sex trafficking, terrorism, drugs and deforestation.

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an
investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic
terrorism.

New York, along with other states, is moving forward with massive wind turbine
projects.

The push for "9,000 megawatts of offshore wind energy" comes at a high price,
not only for families who are left dependent on expensive and unreliable energy,
but for the planet.

Wind turbines require massive amounts of rare earths for their generators and
motors. A single wind turbine eats up tons of rare earth metals. Rare earth
mining carried out in China is horrifyingly destructive to people and the
environment. One story described radioactive lakes, high cancer rates and
villagers whose "teeth began to fall out" and "hair turned white at unusually
young ages". "Children were born with soft bones and cancer rates rocketed."

A recent Associated Press story about rare earth mining operations in Burma told
of a world where "birds no longer sing, and the herbs no longer grow. The fish
no longer swim in rivers that have turned a murky brown."

An offshore wind turbine can produce somewhere between 9 and 14 megawatts
depending on its size. New York's goal would require a thousand offshore wind
turbines. Fiberglass wind turbine blades can’t be recycled and end up in massive
landfills where they remain, according to one executive, “forever”. But within
the fiberglass sheath is balsa wood that can be recycled.

Balsa wood is light, airy and popular for everything from model airplanes to
planes. The obsession with green energy has created a massive demand for balsa
wood to use in wind turbines. While a story from 2020 about how 14 million trees
had been cut down in Scotland to make way for wind farms recently went viral,
far more trees are cut down to make turbines.

Billions of trees.

One wind turbine blade can require as much as 5,300 cubic feet of balsa wood.

The price of balsa wood shot up, driven by demand from Communist China. While
the Chinese have tried to grow their own balsa with limited success, they have
turned to deforesting the Amazon. The Amazon, the world’s largest carbon sink,
is being destroyed to reduce carbon.

Environmentalists are destroying the planet to save the planet.

Even while they were profiting from an artificial "green boom" fed by western
green special interests, astroturf activists, fraudulent science, and pop
culture crisis, Chinese companies were wiping out millions of trees in the name
of saving the planet from a manufactured emergency.

Companies answering to Chinese interests found isolated tribes, traded them
drugs and alcohol for slave labor, encouraged violence against those who would
not comply, and the results were hailed by western environmentalists. The costs
of China’s “wind power boom” were ignored.

China is working to build 18 megawatt wind turbines and dominate wind energy in
Europe. The path of its poisonous silk road runs through the Amazon and to
western environmentalists who believe that wind is clean and therefore wind
turbines are a pure source of energy.

Balsa is an ideal forestry crop. It grows quickly and must be harvested before
it ages too much. The rising price of balsa wood has also expanded growing
operations, taking over farms and plantations leading to hunger and disease.

"These paradoxes of the so-called 'green economy' ruin the natural stability of
the forests and the jungle," a World Rainforest Movement report warned.

While wind turbines, when in operation, already kill as much as three-quarters
of a million birds a year, turbine deforestation kills countless more birds by
destroying their habitats.

Green eco-business and its allied leftist politicians remain obsessed with
carbon, but the Amazon rainforests have been described as the “lungs” of the
planet. And environmentalists themselves argue that the Amazon is a "carbon
storage sink". Destroying the Amazon to build wind turbines to reduce carbon
would wreck the planetary ecosystem leading to the natural disasters that green
energy proponents claim that they want to stop.

If astroturf environmental activists really wanted to save the planet, they
would start chaining themselves to wind turbines, instead of vandalizing
classical museum paintings.

The obsession with ‘carbon neutrality’ will only make matters worse.
Eco-industries calculate the ‘carbon footprint’ of wind turbine emissions based
mostly on their construction. Those emissions are assessed against the mining
operations, concrete, rare earths and fiberglass, that go into making them. In
order to lower their carbon metrics, eco-industries are now promoting wind
turbines made out of wood which would lead to the destruction of more forests
while increasing the price of housing even further to put it out of the reach of
millions of people.

Saving the planet has now come to mean cutting down even more trees.

In Latin America, green energy has destroyed forests, spread drugs and also led
to the kidnapping and sex trafficking of young girls. Logging mining camps,
especially illegal ones, depend on a steady supply of male workers. The
abduction and rape of underage girls has been traced back to the system feeding
balsa wood to the wind turbines of China and Europe.

That is what green energy actually looks like.

One reported noted that, “Young girls are encouraged by mothers and aunts to
exchange sex for diesel so they can watch their favorite soap operas each night
and escape the harshness of their lives for a few hours.”

So much for saving the planet.

The black market in balsa wood has attracted the attention of socialist
narcoterrorists in South America and Islamic terrorists in Africa. Wind turbines
are becoming another profit center for drug cartels and Jihadists, spreading
ruin and destruction around the world.

Wind turbines were billed as saving the planet. They’re destroying it instead.

CO2 is the gas of life, the green lobby is trying to reduce the global

Yesterday (in tandem with soon to be announced revived virus scares and mail in
voting demands) democrats announced their rock bottom position to influence
voting in less than 3 months:

Republicans are simply EVIL

Vis a vis the planet, democrats have declared life sustaining CO2 to be EVIL,
and fossil fuels (which they copiously consume while bopping about the world to
spread the word) as deadly.

These people are profoundly stupid while unashamedly devious.

Thanks Dwayne! Don Quixote was quite a novel, insightful far ahead of its time.

I was thinking earlier, my SF Bay neighborhood was so Democratic that there were
windmills even in the early 1970s. I can still see one in my mind's eye, that I
used to walk by often.

My Dad's second wife was already into composting back then (Dad just paid the
bills :)

She had some expensive equipment to do it. It seemed absurd to me at the time,
though I knew nothing intellectually about environmentalism back then. That
composting nonsense was probably one factor in turning me against
environmentalism already in the 1970s.

Composting makes more sense in San Fran today than it did back in the day. All
the streets are brown, and the sky is grey. Be careful where you walk,
especially by the bay!

Too green, the impossible dream.

Yeah, what a trip, they use balsa wood. We used to make little glider planes
which were made of balsa wood. I haven't thought about that for a long time,
almost disappeared from my memory :)

J

Yeah, me too. My step father used to build planes from scratch and put little
propeller engines on them. Sometimes he would use index cards as a body over a
balsa wood frame. He was good with that stuff although I notice he never made
any for us kids.

You have that right, Mr. Greenfield - thank you for revealing the truth. I have
no words to describe the insanity of building and using wind turbines, that are
responsible for the death of our ecosystem and ultimately mankind as well. Those
responsible pretend to be environmentalists, but are evil people imo, full of
lies, deceit , hypocrisy and indifference to the beauty of nature and the One
who created it. There will be no happy ending for any of them.

"Logging mining camps, especially illegal ones, depend on a steady supply of

Misogyny! When the Latin American world catches up with the woke world there's
going to be dozens of alternatives to male workers.

Sorry my friend, although you make valid points about the current state of wind
turbine tech and the sickening results of demands it has created, the reality
for the future looks very different: There is already a turbine blade recycling
process. There is a new type of generator tech in development that will require
no rare earth metals, not even any magnets at all. There is also a replacement
for balsa.

The problem of destroying forests to set-up wind turbine farms should also be
going away as more and more wind energy will come from offshore (where it's most
abundant and least impactive on ecosystems) and the energy captured there can be
converted to liquid hydrocarbons (by Renewable Fischer Tropsch Synthesis) for
distribution via the same infrastructure now used for oil.

Yes, as it stands now the situation is seriously f***ed-up, but there is
awareness in the industry and changes are coming. The thing that is irksome to
me more than anything else is that the players (investors and builders) are
continuing to do the current bad wind turbine tech instead of putting a
moratorium on it until they can get things right, and I think the reason we are
doing this is out of unfounded concern over AGW and of course their quest to
make money ASAP while trying to appear green...same basic situation as with the
Tesla-class EV. What we should be doing, rationally, is increasing our
efficiency with fossil fuels and getting renewable energy fully up to spec
before we make the full transition to it...ultimately, of course, we MUST make a
transition away from fossils...They are finite in supply and getting scarcer
every moment as we burn them up...without energy modern economics is dead.
That's the problem that deserves attention and timely, careful, deliberate
action, not the AGW BS and its prophesies of doomsday right around the corner.

200 years supply of fossil fuel at hand & more undiscovered. That’s not an
immediate “ must”

T

There is NO replacement for all the useful wildlife that is destroyed in your
process. Not to mention the eyesore on nature that they cause, regardless of how
you envision their improvement. There is more to life than making money.

J
Jeff Bargholz

And his processes don't make reliable or even viable energy generators.

J
Jeff Bargholz

Yeah, right. And we'll all have electric cars with plenty of infrastructure and
power to service them.

Bull and Shit.

Oil, natural gas and coal aren't fossils and they're plentiful, unlike electric
potential, which isn't even renewable. There's far more oil available than the
materials necessary for the Green Inferno.
