LPR & CIA Documentation Search… ⌃K 🥵 new event commands Other LPL Commands Changelog Powered By GitBook 🥵 NEW EVENT COMMANDS omg its a document!!! As always, you'll need to have Staff/Commandroles in order to execute some of these commands. Abuse these commands and you'll get a nice fat blacklist. WHY THE SWITCH? why are we switching? This new system allows for more formal and easier way to create events. Gone are the days where you need to copy and paste and time your announcements. Everything is automatic (besides the Federation Network announcements; that's still on you >:) ) and in a way where you'll still have full control over how the event is published. what are the benefits? Employees and employers (staff+) will have an easier time logging things and its visually more pleasing. how do you use this system? Keep reading. when does this go live? The system is already live but due to reforms, events are currently on pause. can we switch back? i don't like this!!! 😠 😡 cry USING THE COMMANDS /EVENT HOST Description: Starts the process of hosting an event. Permission: Staff+ Usage: /event host <event_type> <custom_message> event_type: What type of event are you hosting? Just select an option from the dropdown. game_link: The game the event will be hosted in. | Select Other to use a custom link. New in 1.1.1 custom_message: Special instructions employees will see. | Not required. After running this command, the bot will make a shout asking for those who plan on attending to click a button. You can see how many have confirmed attendance in the embed footer. Only the event host will be able to click Start Event and Cancel Event. Attendees can take away their confirmation with the cancel attendance button. After you deem that you have enough attendees, you can click Start Event You'll get 4 messages after doing so. The first embed is a general overview and a quick way for employees to join the game using the hyperlink. It also shows who reacted (this may not be accurate for late joins after the event has already started) at the start. The second is a discord event link you can use to share with others. The other three are only shown to you. The bot just gives you a friendly reminder that it will automatically ping @Shift Pings in 20 minutes in the events channel. You can cancel this by clicking End Event or by using /event end. The bot also gives you a message you can just copy and paste for the Federation Network events AND Ministry of Labour channels. Please make sure you change the ping and anything else in the message, the message only serves as a boilerplate, not the final message. The timestamp is automatically generated for you, although it may differ since discord automatically converts timezones from the user. (Check if the timestamp is 20 minutes from the event start time: if it is, great! otherwise, use hammertime and do it yourself lol) Canceling/ending the event will delete the yellow embed and edit the reaction embed saying its either canceled or has ended (depending on when you click the end/cancel button) so everyone can see the current state of your event. It will lock and disable all buttons, so click wisely. /EVENT END Description: Ends an event | Alternative to the button. Permission: Staff+ Usage: /event host <event_id> event_id: ID of the event, you can find this with /event view or in the event shout embed. for those of you that need a visual aid Disables all buttons and deletes any event shout embeds and replaces your reaction event with a canceled/ended message. /EVENT VIEW Description: Show's the analytics of every event. Permission: Everyone Usage: /event view Just returns a link to a dashboard where you can explore the graph. (You can also customize the graph to show different data/visualizations. /EVENT BLACKLIST Description: Blacklists specific users from HOSTING. Permission: Command+ Usage: /event blacklist <user> <reason> user: Who are you (un)blacklisting? reason: Blacklist reason. | Not required for un-blacklisting. Command does both blacklisting and un-blacklisting; run the command twice to un-blacklist. /EVENT MANAGE Description: Toggles hosting and game link. Permission: Command+ Usage: /event manage <enable> <game_link> <return_message> enable: Can Staff host? game_link: Link to the Toblox game. (Used for hyperlinks) return_message: Message to be returned to staff when attempting to host an event. Not all arguments are required! Only change what you want and you can leave the rest blank for the bot to not change them. /EVENT FORCE_END Description: Force ends an event. Permission: Command+ Usage: /event force_end <event_id> event_id: ID of the event to end. Literally does the same thing as /event end but it doesn't require you to be the owner of the event. Useful for incompetent hosts who refuse to end the event. Next Other LPL Commands Last modified 24d ago Was this page helpful? Copy link On this page Why the switch?
