The Founder & The Force Multiplier’s mission is to help Founders (Leaders, CEOs,

The Founder & The Force Multiplier: How Entrepreneurs and Executive Assistants
Achieve More Together, in February 2019, their focus was on the partnership
between an entrepreneur and their right-hand employee (usually in the form of an
Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Chief of Staff). What we’ve realized
over time is that the principles that we live by and value extend far beyond the
scrappy early days of a start-up, all the way to the C-Suite of Fortune 100

   Executive Assistant... or Assistant Executive? What if we stopped putting so
   much focus on the Assistant part of the title and started emphasizing the
   Executive part of the role? I’ve long said that EAs are also leaders.
   Regardless of the title they hold, the fact is EAs and other executive
   support staff are integral members of the executive leadership team and
   should behave as such, and be treated as such. It’s a two-way street: EAs
   must show up as the leaders they want to see in their company and leaders
   need to start recognizing the valuable contribution their executive business
   partners make to themselves and to the company at large. Founders and Force
   Multipliers are responsible for one high-impact job; they simply make
   different contributions towards the overall goal, each rooted in their
   strengths. EAs are critical staff and valuable members of the inner circle.
   Today’s EAs are business-savvy leaders and are not content to sit on the
   sidelines. They want in on the action. They want to know that what they are
   doing is a value-add to their Executive and to the business as a whole.

   I'm busting a c-suite myth... There’s a common myth when it comes to
   leadership in the business world and it’s this: Coaching is just for business
   owners and executives at the top of the org chart. Sure, business owners and
   execs should absolutely get coaching to level up their leadership, but they
   aren’t the only ones to hit ceilings in their careers. And I can personally
   say that investing into a coach was one of the best investments I’ve ever
   made into my personal development, even after 12 years of one-on-one coaching
   from Adam and our fantastic leadership team at AHC. To be honest, I probably
   would have hired a coach much sooner if I hadn’t been surrounded by such
   incredible mentors and leaders. And, I know that being coached is hard work
   with huge accountability (which scared the s*!t out of me)! But what I knew
   for sure was that I didn’t need another training. I didn’t need to add
   another administrative skill, change management process, or time management
   technique to my arsenal. I wanted to get clear on who I want to become and
   work side by side with someone who was going to help guide me along the way
   with new ideas, a fresh perspective and insights, some hard truths, and
   weekly accountability. If you’re trying to decide whether you need more
   training or need a coach, ask yourself this – am I looking to get better at
   the tasks related to my job or am I looking to grow as a leader, as a
   professional, and as a person? If your answer is the latter, I’d love to be

   I've worked with a multi-passionate entrepreneur for over twelve years. It
   opened me up to a whole new way of working, challenged my thinking and skills
   on a daily basis, helped me grow as a leader, and gave me the hands-on
   knowledge of how to build, run, and grow organizations (hint: it's all about
   the people!). But, working for a Founder isn't all fun and games. It can
   include extremely long days (and years), organized chaos (but only if you
   organize it), occasional whiplash due to fast growth, differences of
   opinions, egos, growing pains, capital constraints, an unclear goal or
   vision, and a lack of resources. And, I wouldn't trade it for a more
   traditional environment or leader any day! I love working with a
   multi-passionate entrepreneur and Founder. It is absolutely the right
   environment for me. Maybe it's the right one for you too; though, it's
   definitely not for everyone. Personally, I think the business knowledge and
   personal and professional growth alone far outweigh any of the challenges
   along the way. But that's a decision you will have to make for yourself. Head

   administrative professionals at UScellular called "Monthly Admin Article
   Club" (yup, super creative!). This small group and I have been using articles
   written by and for administrative professionals to launch lively
