Tata Consultancy Services has locations all over the globe and is a global
leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions. It is headquartered
in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India with its largest campus located in Chennai, Tamil
Nadu, India. Getting a job at TCS is a dream come true for many engineering
graduates. 


WHAT IS TCS NEXTSTEP PORTAL?

Every year, TCS grabs a large number of projects across the nation. To implement
such a work, TCS needs talented and trained resources. Tata Consultancy Service
conducts the on campus and off campus recruitment drive via TCS Next Step
portal, all the students who are in the final year will have to register
themselves for the TCS recruitment drive for both IT and Non-IT posts.

Eligible candidates can submit the online application before the link expires to
achieve and serve in their dream company. 

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has two categories of job profiles in IT
services for technical professionals and Business Processing Services.
Candidates with Technical background are eligible for IT services. For Business
Processing Services also similar backgrounds are in demand.

Candidates can register for two types of industries in the TCS NextStep Portal
depending on their degrees. There are two sections of registration available in
the TCS NextStep Portal.

 * IT-Information Technology: This category is for engineers and information
   technology students.

 * BPS- Business Process Service: This category is for business management
   students.

**A candidate can register under only one category, either you have a choice to
apply for IT or BPS. Registering in the incorrect category will require the
candidate to repeat the entire registration process.






TCS NEXT STEP PORTAL- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for the TCS NextStep IT category, the candidate must:

 * Have a degree in engineering (BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech), MCA with
   BCA/B.Com/BA/B.Sc (with Math/Statistics Background)in undergraduate, M.Sc in
   Computer Science / Information Technology

 * 60% and above marks in class X, XII, undergraduate and postgraduate exams.

 * No pending backlog

 * Break or gap of up to 2 years is allowed but valid reasons must be provided.

 * 0-3 years of work experience.


ELIGIBLE ENGINEERING BRANCHES FOR TCS NEXTSTEP REGISTRATION:

 * Computer Science

 * Information Technology

 * Electronics and Electrical Engineering

 * Mechanical Engineering

 * Electronics/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering

 * Electrical Engineering

 * Electronics and Communication

 * Electronics and Telecommunication

 * Instrumentation Engineering

 * Network Engineering


TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE TCS NEXTSTEP BPS-BUSINESS PROCESS SERVICES, FOLLOWING IS
REQUIRED:

 * Be a Full Time MBA

 * Specialization: Operation, Finance, Marketing, IT & Systems, HR

 * 60% and above marks in class X, XII, undergraduate and postgraduate exams.

 * Break or gap of up to 2 years is allowed but valid reasons must be provided.

TCS EXAM PATTERN 2022 :

TCS Exam patterns are given below however it may vary based on the designation
of the Job in TCS.

TCS NEXTSTEP REGISTRATION: DOS AND DONTS

Please follow these tips for the tcs nextstep registration process carefully -

DOs:

 1. Read the instructions carefully

 2. Enter name as per Passport or SSC mark sheet

 3. Double-check your email and mobile number

 4. Select values from the drop-down suggestions list

DONTs:

 1. Submit the application form without reviewing

 2. Enter a weak password. Please pick a very strong password, at least 10-12
    characters long with a mix of numbers, letters, and special characters.

 3. Pick any random "Answer to security question". This will save a lot of time
    if you are recovering a locked nextstep tcs account.


TCS NEXTSTEP PORTAL REGISTRATION PROCESS

Step 1: Candidate can visit the official portal i.e. TCS Nextstep Portal

Step 2: Once TCS Next Step Portal opens, then select the “Register Now” button.
If already registered, the candidate must click on the login button.

Step 3:Select the either IT or BPS domain option.

Here, 

 * IT = Information Technology for Software Engineer Trainee Vacancies

 * BPS =  Business Process Outsourcing (BPO, Call Center, Voice Support, Mail,
   and Chat Support)

Step 4:After successful completion of the selection, The candidate is taken to
the registration page depending on the selection.

Step 5: The candidate must fill in personal details such as name, date of birth,
gender, email id, qualification, mobile number, etc.

Step 6: After completion of the details, one must verify the information and
click the submit button. The web portal shall send the confirmation of the
registration. After filling the application form, Students get “Reference ID
generation like CT20191482950 (12 digits + 2 characters)”.


TCS NEXTSTEP PORTAL LOGIN PROCESS:

Step 1: Candidates who wish to log in to the page can visit the Portal i.e. TCS
Nextstep Portaland click on the Login Option.

Step 2: The candidate can log in to the web portal easily by entering the email
address or reference number, password, and log in to the page.

**In case any of the aspirants forgot their password you have to click on the
forgot password section. Then follow the simple steps in order to reset the
password.

Common issue faced at TCS NextStep Portal

 1. TCS NextStep Portal Not Opening

    The TCS Nextstep registration portal not opening is a very common problem.
    Please do the following -

     * Check your Internet connection
    
     * Enter correct URL: https://nextstep.tcs.com/ in browser
    
     * Use Google Chrome or Firefox or Microsoft Edge browser

    **If none of that works, it's likely that the tcs nextstep registration
    portal servers are down. Try it after 20-30 minutes.

     

 2. Unable to submit the registration form

    If clicking on the submit button does nothing, please check your Internet
    connection. Make sure to have a backup of all the information you have
    entered. Clear your browser cache and try again. If you are using Chrome,
    please visit Clear Cache & Cookies - Google.

     

 3. College Name Not Appearing in the TCS NextStep Institute List

    If you do not find your college name in the list of colleges on the nextstep
    registration form, simply pick 'other', which is the last option. Otherwise,
    simply type your correct college or institute name in the box and proceed
    with registration.

     

 4. Where to find registration Id on the TCS Nextstep portal?

    The registration id is available in the top-right corner of your screen in
    the About TCS link. Alternatively, you can spot it on the Activate
    Application button. On mobile, it's available on the About section of the
    menu.

     

 5. No Reply from ilp.support@tcs.com - What to do?

    The TCS official support can take a while to receive a response. Some of the
    candidates have received a reply in 24 hours while others had to wait
    several days to get help from TCS. The candidates are advised to provide all
    the relevant registration and unique identification details to TCS officials
