SURVIVE AN EPIC VOYAGE ON A RAFT!

Raft for Windows is a fun survival and crafting game suitable for both kids and
adults. It is an open-world sea adventure, which puts you on a raft in the
middle of nowhere. Your task is to collect resources that come by you while
ensuring you don’t get eaten alive by sharks! The game offers a multiplayer
function, so you can invite your friends on your small raft. The more
collectibles you gather, the better your raft becomes. Developed by Redbeet
Interactive, the game is quite relaxing and has entered Steam’s early access
phase. Also, the game is already available on Windows 11.


BEWARE OF MAN-EATING SHARKS

Raft's popularity lies in the fact that it doesn’t have you running around to
excavate necessary resources. Instead, it sweeps you across a never-ending ocean
with essential floating towards you. Not only do they help you survive, but they
also offer you ways to make your raft larger and elaborate. Catching debris is
quite fun until you’re attacked by man-eating sharks!



The game sets you on a journey alone and more often than not, there’s no land in
sight. As you progress through the game, you can build more stuff and visit
places you’ve already been to. You can do this while ensuring you and your raft
don’t get attacked by the shark. With the mission being survival, this
nerve-wracking game will need skills.


RELAXING AND FUN GAMEPLAY

The game begins with you floating in the middle of the ocean, stranded on a
small piece of wood. This is your first raft and your primary task is to turn it
into a full-furnished, multi-story boat. Fortunately, the ocean provides
different materials to construct well-functioning equipment needed for survival.

Besides building a raft, you must take care of your most basic needs - thirst
and hunger. You can see both of these survival needs on a meter, which ticks
down as it does in real life. When you begin, you’ll have to scoop up seawater
and purify it for drinking. You’ll also have to grill fish and other seafood
that you catch to survive.

But, meeting your basic human needs isn’t all that difficult. Your primary
purpose is to pillage the ocean for interesting materials. You can expand your
raft by using a hook to collect items that float by. These are necessary items
if you wish to add rooms, stairs, tables, walls, hammocks, and weapons to
enhance and protect your raft.

Once you find a collection net, gathering ocean debris becomes quite easy. This
leaves you time to sport different islands and lost rafts. As your raft
transforms into a boat, you can take it around for some exploration. Anchoring
on different islands gives you the option to leave the boat and look for
interesting materials.

It’s the water around different islands where you’ll find the rarest materials.
These will help you in transitioning to the next stage of the game. You’ll be
able to build transmission towers and radio antennas, so you can return to
islands whenever you want.


THE THREAT OF LOOMING DANGERS

While Raft for Windows could just function as a scavenger game on an endless
ocean, it offers much more. The need to keep moving forward comes from a
constant threat - the man-eating shark. It follows you around and can chew you
up if you’re in the water for too long. Unless you jab the shark, you may lose
entire sections of your boat to its bite.

The shark's presence adds a sense of urgency and danger to the game. Without it,
you may as well be floating around with no sense of the danger of ocean life. As
the islands continue to act as a pull, the shark provides the much-needed push.
Moreover, it’s the only sea creature that you’ll come across in the first half
of the game, so you must stay on alert!


OFFERS MULTIPLAYER FUNCTIONALITY

One of the biggest selling points of this game is that it allows users to invite
their friends onto their raft. While some people may enjoy the multiplayer
option, others may want to go solo. For the latter, the game will progress at a
slower pace, only because there are fewer hands on deck!


COMES WITH A LIST OF EQUIPMENT

Raft survival game offers users more guidance than other games in the genre. As
you continue playing the game, it helps you in making discoveries, finding
objects. It also provides you with an ever-increasing list of equipment. All
these features keep the players interested and compelled, so they continue
playing.

The recent update offers larger islands, more animals, and beautiful coral
reefs. You can even add an engine to your raft and sail it to discover new lands
and greater adventures. While the game may seem devoid of anything but water, it
hides piles of stuff floating beyond the horizon.

CAN RAFT BE PLAYED OFFLINE?

You will need an active internet connection to download the game, after which
you can play it offline. But, if you want to use the multiplayer function, you
will need internet access.

Whoever starts the game becomes the host, the other player must join the host’s
world. You can find the game and join it from your dashboard’s primary menu.


ARE THERE ANY ALTERNATIVES?

Although Raft for Windows is a fun survival game, it does have some bugs and
requires more content. In case you want to explore other games in the genre, you
should check out Minecraft, Rules of Survival, and ARK: Survival Overload.

Raft offers an interesting take on the survival genre games. Thus, if you’re

While the game isn’t difficult, you will have to spend a few hours before
discovering the game’s many features. Since Raft also offers a multiplayer
