CEO Phyllis Venable has 30+ years of experience in municipal project management
in the economic development, community development and neighborhood development
arenas.  She is also an Associate with Essergy, Inc., participating on a team of
20 professionals whose expertise is deployed to respond to various project
solicitations in the areas of economic and entrepreneurial development.

 As Business Development Manager of the City of Long Beach, Venable garnered
over $13 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce – Economic
Development Administration (EDA), and over $78 million in economic development
funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to
implement business development/assistance projects.  She holds certification as
an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) through the National
