Baccarat Rouge 540 by the fragrance house of Maison Francis Kurkdjian is
currently one of the most popular fragrances on the market in 2021. But at over
$300 for a bottle of this coveted women's perfume it makes it not accessible by
just anyone.


THE FRAGRANCE OF MAISON FRANCIS KURKDIJAN BACCARAT ROUGE 540 

Francis Kurkdjian is an Armenian perfumer who, after working with countless
fantastic perfume brands such as Le Male for Jean Paul Gautier, started his own
fragrance house in 2009. In 2015, he released what is arguably his most popular
fragrance, Baccarat Rouge 540. 

But what about Baccarat Rouge makes it the cult classic it has become today? For
starters, the actual scent of this perfume is truly incredible. Although it is
difficult here we will try and explain a scent in words.

A beautiful cotton candy-like sweetness that still manages to be light and airy
at the same time. When you first spray on this fragrance, you’re immediately
greeted with a sweet, but inoffensive scent. Added to this is a subtle spicy
scent, coming from the note of saffron, which gives this fragrance its medicinal
sweetness that may be the only part of the scent not enjoyed by everyone. When
this fragrance starts to dry down is where the real magic happens. Woody
notes make themselves known, as well as a few subtle resinous notes. This leaves
you with an overall gorgeous, sweet, and pleasant scent that lasts for hours. 


BACCARAT ROUGE 540 ALTERNATIVE

While some may be able to justify/afford the more than $300 price-tag for
Baccarat Rouge 540, many others just can not. This has opened the door to
countless fragrances inspired by the perfume. These renditions have scents that
are extremely similar to that of the original, thus making them ‘clones’.



Some may argue that Ariana Grande's Cloud perfume is a 'clone', however, many
will review that it is a tad sweeter and features notes that are not featured in
Maison Francis's perfume.
