Ultrasurf is a free circumvention tool to provide users uncensored access to
internet content through a secure, encrypted tunnel.

What Ultrasurf does

 * Helps you circumvent internet censorship to access content you cannot
   normally access
 * Encrypts communication from your computer to Ultrasurf servers

Limitations

 * Ultrasurf is not responsible if users voluntarily divulge personally
   identifying information online, such as real names or contact information. We
   advise users to educate themselves about additional precautions they should
   take to protect themselves, especially when using Social Networking websites.

 * It is possible that a third party may suspect that an individual may be using
   Ultrasurf tools, but they will not be able to decrypt your data or view your
   browsing activities.

 * If someone is able to see your screen, for instance if you are in an internet
   cafe that is monitored, visiting blocked websites could be dangerous.
   Exercise your best judgement to stay as safe as possible.

 * Nornally websites you visit will only see Ultrasurf IPs and not your IP
   address, but if WebRTC is enabled, your IP may be leaked by WebRTC. Google
   Chrome does not allow users to disable WebRTC. If this is a concern for you,
   you may install a Chrome extension that prevent this. Here is one example:
   Easy WebRTC Block. Since Ultrasurf uses Chrome in incognito mode, you need to
   allow it in incognito mode (enter “chrome://extensions” in address bar, click
   “Details” on “Easy WebRTC Block” and enable “Allow in incognito”)

What Ultrasurf is not

 * Ultrasurf transparently tunnels internet traffic in a secure encrypted
   tunnel, it does not manage or modify your data.

 * Ultrasurf is not intended to be used for illicit or illegal activities
   online, and Ultrasurf does not condone such activities.

Data Retention Policy

To protect our users, we do not require users to provide personal information to
use Ultrasurf and we do not log users’ activities.

Staying safe online

Ultrasurf is a valuable tool for users looking to safely access blocked content
and encrypt their browsing data. Even with Ultrasurf, however, there are risks
and possible consequences to visiting blocked websites. We encourage all our
users to educate themselves about the regulations, laws, and censorship
practices in their respective countries to better understand these risks.

Finally, we encourage users to educate themselves about the other tools and
precautions they should employ to stay safe online.
