On Monday, August 2nd more than 150 guests came together to honor Dan Rossiter
at the Visiting Nurse Service &  Hospice of Suffolk (VNSHS) 17th Annual VNSHS
Golf Classic at Indian Hills Country Club in Northport.  Kicking off with a
shotgun start at noon, golfers enjoyed 18 holes on Indian Hills scenic greens
overlooking the Long Island Sound. After a modified Classic in 2020, VNSHS was
delighted to bring guests together this year for a dinner reception and lively
awards ceremony honoring Mr. Rossiter.  Ron Duswalt, Founder of the VNSHS Golf
Classic, announced the Classic has raised more than $1 million since it’s
inception in 2005.  Linda Taylor, VNSHS CEO shared that once a year, the
organization recognizes a respected leader in their field who has given back to
VNSHS and the community. On behalf of the VNSHS Board and staff, Ms. Taylor
presented Dan with this year’s VNSHS Outstanding Community Service Award.

In a warm and touching tribute, Mr. Rossiter recognized his mother Jane, good
friend Jeff Galluzzo and Aunt, all who have been cared for by VNSHS Hospice.
Topping off the evening, Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr.  presented
Mr. Rossiter with a Proclamation of behalf of the Suffolk County Police
Department in recognition of Dan’s tireless commitment to the greater community.

VNSHS would like to thank Dan Rossiter, the Golf Classic Committee, sponsors,
golfers, volunteers and Indian Hills staff for a truly memorable and successful
17th Annual VNSHS Golf Classic.

Dan Rossiter is President of Rossiter Financial Group which was founded by his
grandfather Robert in 1947. Today, the firm manages more than $350 million in
