Greece is located at the far south of the Balkan Peninsula in Europe, on the
Mediterranean Sea. Greece is famous for being the seat of modern European
civilization, and its ancient influence is still felt in art, politics,
literature and philosophy today.
Greece is characterized by its stunning natural beauty, including rocky mountain
ranges and the beautiful, bright blue seas of the Mediterranean and Ionian seas

explore these scenic places.

Greece has a hot, mainly dry climate, with temperatures often reaching 40C in
summer. The language is Greek and the capital is Athens. The currency is the
Euro.
