around Tom and Jerry’s Aerial Attacks. Utility: Tasmanian Trigonometry – While
not a super “light” character like Arya, Tom and Jerry aren’t heavy, so this
helps with matchups against Iron Giant or Garnet players. Utility: You Dodge I
Dodge We Dodge – Tom and Jerry are relatively dependent on their Cooldowns as
well as evading attacks, so this combines both. Utility: Triple Jump – One of
the best “general” Perks in the game, especially when stacked with an ally.
Utility: Aerial Acrobat – Makes it easier to line up attacks like Trash Can Band
against faster characters like Finn or Arya. Here are some other examples of
commonly used Tom and Jerry Perks that players tend to run in certain
situations:ĭefense: School Me Once – Usually used to counter other heavy
projectile characters or even a Tom and Jerry mirror match. Other Popular Perk
OptionsĪll that said, MultiVersus is far from being a “solved game.” While there
are arguable “better” Perks that the majority tend to run, smart players use
Perk Training to unlock all of them on their main so that they can adjust their
loadout based on who they’re facing.įor example, against Batman players (who
tend to be masters of dodging attacks), Ice To Beat You might be better because
the Freeze Debuff stacks slow their dodges as well. Plus, there aren’t many
characters in MultiVersus that use their Grounded attacks more than their Aerial
ones, so it almost always helps an ally to run this Perk as well. It synergizes
well with just about all of their Aerial moves like Cast-Iron Crusher, Trash Can
Band, Volley, or even Scratch Cat.Īll of these moves are attacks a standard Tom
and Jerry player will be using constantly, so this basically equates to a five
or 10 percent (if stacked with an ally) damage buff across the board. Lumpy
Space Punchįor a very similar reason as Collateral Damage, Lumpy Space Punch is
also a fantastic Perk for Tom and Jerry players. Additionally, Trash Can Band is
another one of T&J’s bread-and-butter moves that knock enemies into terrain or
ceilings quite often, so Collateral Damage just sees a lot of usage overall.
This move is one of Tom and Jerry’s best spikes, best vertical KO tools, and
best attacks altogether, so any T&J player worth their salt will be using it
quite a bit. Why exactly is this guide recommending Collateral Damage, a Perk
often associated with Steven Universe or Bugs Bunny? Well, simply put, it’s
because Cast-Iron Crusher is arguably Tom and Jerry’s best move, the one they’ll
be hitting with most often, and it almost always bounces the enemy off of the
ground. And, once again, this is another Perk that works well in just about
every team comp as well, as almost every character in the game has at least one
projectile. If used properly with projectiles and melee attack combinations,
clever Tom and Jerry players can keep their opponents constantly Ignited, which
quickly ramps up the damage to an easy Ringout using Cast-Iron Crusher, Trash
Can Band, or even the last hit of Mallet Time. Some people will argue for Ice to
Beat You with all their breath, but That’s Flammable Doc is just so much better.
Moving on to arguably the best Perk overall to run on Tom and Jerry, otherwise
known as That’s Flammable Doc. Plus, Tom and Jerry already have a ton of ways to
recover and even stall in the air as well, so Fly Fisher is more of an overkill
choice, whereas Dynamite Split is an all-around improvement.

While the extra recovery from Fly Fisher is nice, Dynamite Split is so much
better for creating openings for Tom to recover, punishing approaching enemies,
or just stacking easy damage on unexpecting opponents. First up, however, is why
players should use Dynamite Split over Fly Fisher and That’s Flammable Doc over
any other minor Perk.įor the Signature Perk, this really boils down to recovery
options compared to zoning options, and with a character like Tom and Jerry,
having more zone control is always more important. And there is some solid
reasoning for this that will be elaborated on below. Now, this probably looks
relatively different compared to some other recommendations out there that
mention Perks like Make It Rain Dog, Ice to Beat You, and so on. Dynamite Split
& That’s Flammable Doc Reasoning Tom and Jerry combine to make one incredibly
unique fighting game character, and with these Perks, learning them should be
feel just a bit easier, at least at first. Signature Perk: Dynamite Split

Whoever climbs that mountain first is undoubtedly worth a little bit more.
Winning a championship (or even getting there) would also tip the scales. That
could change soon, however, if Embiid keeps up his stellar play and stays
healthy. In the 2020-21 season, Jokic averaged 26.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, and
8.3 assists per game, and last season, he amped.

That’s why debating who is better is such a tough challenge.Ĭurrently, I give
Jokic the edge in the debate. He has won MVP in two consecutive seasons, showing
remarkable plays in Denver. While this article makes the case for Jokic, both he
and Embiid are fantastic players who have completely revitalized their teams.
Final WordsĪt the end of the day, better is a relative term. Jokic has simply
been doing it for longer. His stats were incredibly impressive, especially his
scoring, but that’s just a single season. The 2021-22 season is one of the first
where Embiid was able to really stay healthy the entire time. That in and of
itself is worth something. That’s true, but his ability to stay relatively
healthy also means he’s able to get out on the floor more and do more for his
team. One could say that Jokic only puts up more impressive stats because he
gets injured less. That may seem like a side note, especially because ailments
are so often out of a player’s control, but it matters when it comes to arguing
who’s better. Something else to note when comparing these two centers is that
Embiid gets injured a lot more than Jokic. It’s only blocks where he comes up
short. The Nuggets center averages more points for his career, as well as more
rebounds, assists, and steals. However, he loses to Jokic in just about every
category. Looking at those numbers, Embiid has a recent edge in both points and
blocks. In the 2021-2022 season he averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, 7.9
assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.9 blocks compared to Embiid’s 30.6 points, 11.7
rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.5 blocks. Going a bit further, during
his MVP year Jokic averaged 26.4/10.8/8.3/1.3/0.7. In contrast, Embiid averages
26 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.7 blocks. They are the
lifeblood of the offense, and they can score in numerous ways.įor his career,
Jokic averages 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.5 steals. Jokics
improved marksmanship from distance has played a sizeable role in the expansion
of his offensive game hes shooting a career-high 36.5 from three while scoring
1.12 points per possession on catch and shoot jumpers. Both superstars do
extremely well on the stat sheet, and they’ve been getting better and better
each season. The first aspect to discuss when comparing Jokic and Embiid is
their stats. I’ll explain those ideas in further detail throughout the following
sections. That being said, I believe Nikola Jokic is a better overall player due
to a combination of stats, basketball IQ, and general power. Such details are
important, and must be taken into account when looking at the raw data of their
stats and numbers. Embiid is a fantastic scorer and great defender, while Jokic
is a much stronger passer. It’s all about how individual players work within
their larger system. For instance, someone who scores a lot may not be as
important as someone who passes well. Different players affect their teams in
different ways. That’s because, no matter how well they play on paper, that’s
never the whole story. Discussing a LegacyĬomparing two players is always
tricky. There are many big men who reflect that trend, but no two players better
exemplify the shift than Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. Centers and forwards can
shoot like never before, and they are able to move quickly as well. What was
once an easily defined game between big men, outside players, and guards, has
become much more blurred. On the downside, Jokic did turn it over four times in
just 16 minutes of action, while also being charged with four fouls.Basketball
as a sport has greatly changed over the past few years. The reigning MVP dished
out his first of four first-quarter assists to Bruce Brown for an easy layup

stretch here and there in between short periods, I could’ve prevented years of
pain along with five figures spent trying to diminish these symptoms. The study

"With the software paying for itself in three months and the potential reduction
in injury risk associated with overuse of computers, there is now quite a
compelling economic reason to use ergonomic risk management software to optimize
workflow." "Inappropriate work organization eventually has a deleterious effect
upon work output and work quality, and workers in this situation run a greater
risk of injury," says Hedge. For these reasons, ergonomists have studied the
effects of optimizing work flow, workload, work patterns and work posture on
performance. Hedge says that researchers know that people should not
continuously work on computers because of muscle fatigue and increased injury
risks. People can measurably improve their computer productivity and
substantially reduce their risk of repetitive stress injuries if they would
simply work smarter," Hedge says. Hedge measured some 4 million keystrokes
during nearly 6,200 hours of computer use by a variety of participants who used
their computers almost six hours a day. "Previous smaller studies of microbreaks
have indicated the potential for productivity improvements by changing the way
people use computers, but this is the first, truly extensive and real-world
study that has accurately measured real productivity and shown benefits above
and beyond overuse injury protection," says Hedge, who will present his findings
to the National Ergonomics Conference and Exhibition, Dec.

The software was designed to manage workflow and injury risks associated with
keyboard and mouse overuse, Hedge said, but it turns out that the software also
helps productivity. After five weeks of collecting baseline ergonomic data on
employees, half the group was randomly assigned to using off-the-shelf
ergonomics risk management software that takes into account employee work
levels, thresholds and task assignments, and presents on-screen alerts at
appropriate times, reminding workers to assume good posture, take a microbreak
and stretch. The company was committed to improving office ergonomics. Hedge
conducted a 10-week study of 21 workers at the Wall Street office of New Century
Global, which provides insurance for professional sports teams, including the
New York Jets, as well as Broadway shows and other clients. "That means the
company will recoup its software investment in about three months and protect
its workers from overuse injuries at the same time." This improvement in work
accuracy reflects an overall 1 percent jump in the workers' total productivity
during the five-week test period, Hedge says. The more the workers typed, the
better their accuracy: the fastest typist made almost 40 percent fewer errors
than his counterpart who did not receive the computer alerts. In his study,
Hedge found that workers receiving the alerts were 13 percent more accurate on
average in their work than coworkers who were not reminded.

"We found that alerting computer users to take short rests and breaks improved
work accuracy without any reductions in overall keystroke and mouse use," says
Alan Hedge, professor of design and environmental analysis at Cornell and
director of Cornell's Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory. Workers who used
computer software to remind them occasionally to assume good posture, take short
breaks and occasionally stretch do more accurate work and as a result are more
productive, according to a new Cornell University study.
