Lesley Keller is a passionate and dedicated instrumental music teacher with a
deep love for music and a commitment to helping her students reach their full
potential. She specialises in brass, woodwind, piano, and music theory, She
brings a wealth of experience and expertise to every lesson, which is tailored
to suit the individual needs of her students.

With years of professional training at The Purcell school of music and The Royal
college of music, Lesley has cultivated a teaching approach that blends
technical excellence with creativity. Lesley believes in fostering a positive
and engaging learning environment, where students of all ages and abilities can
thrive, whether they are beginners or advanced musicians looking to refine their
skills. Lesley’s teaching philosophy centres around developing each student’s

BIOGRAPHY

Lesley Keller BMus (Hons)
Professional Musician & Teacher


Lesley Keller is a highly skilled and dedicated musician with a lifelong passion
for music education and performance. Having begun her musical journey at the age
of ten under the tutelage of renowned trumpet teacher Steven Cobb, she quickly
distinguished herself as a talented student. By the age of fifteen, Lesley
earned a place at The Purcell School of Music, where she studied trumpet with
David Mason, receiving an exceptional musical education in orchestral
performance, chamber music, choral training, and composition. Her experience
included performing at prestigious venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall and the
Royal Albert Hall, as well as international tours to Russia and Italy.

Lesley continued her formal studies at the Royal College of Music studying with
James Watson, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree, solidifying her
technical expertise and deepening her passion for music.

With decades of teaching experience, Lesley has enriched the lives of countless
students through her work in both private and group settings. She has taught
piano and brass instruments in various schools, including Yavneh College and
Hasmonean High School, while also maintaining a successful freelance teaching
practice since 1995. Known for her ability to balance fun and serious focus in
lessons, Lesley is dedicated to nurturing individual student needs and helping
them build confidence and musicality. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes
structured lessons that incorporate technical exercises, varied repertoire, and
general musicianship, providing students with a well-rounded and enriching
musical experience.

Beyond teaching, Lesley is also experienced in organizing concerts, conducting
orchestras, and preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall exams. Her
versatile skills in woodwind, brass, and piano, combined with her ability to
motivate and inspire students, make her a respected and cherished educator in
the music community.
