PETER DUSEK PHOTOGRAPHY




Peter Dusek is an international award winning Canadian photographer whose toned
black and white photographs place a strong emphasis on balance and negative
space. His first solo exhibition, "Tranquility", which took place at Abbozzo
Gallery in Toronto, sold out two and a quarter times, with Saks Fifth Avenue
from New York purchasing two complete sets to represent Canadian Art throughout
their two new stores in Toronto. Since then, Peter has been awarded Best of 2015
by the American Society of Media Photographers, USA's top professional
photographer's association with members in over 30 countries, and has been
elected to the Ontario Society of Artists and the Society of Canadian Artists.
Peter's Zen-inspired artistic style embodies the Japanese design aesthetics of
shibumi (quiet elegance) and yūgen (grace and subtlety). The end result is a
series of contemplative photographs distilling the vastness of the Canadian
landscape to an intimate approachable image, each of which depicts a purity that
is ever-present yet often overlooked.


Peter is also an architectural photographer. Benefitting from his deep
understanding of light, composition, feeling and meaning from his work as an
artist, his architectural photos show a strong feeling of place and space, often
including people to give insights into how a building fits into people's lives.
