Steve Garcia is driven by two things: his entrepreneurial spirit and a genuine
punk attitude.

Eight years ago, he was looking for part-time work that would not only give him
benefits and security but also the freedom to pursue his passions. Enter UPS.

Today, Steve works as a part-time package handler in California. He may wake up
early every day loading trucks, but Steve doesn’t stop there. In 2017, he
successfully co-founded 3 Punk Ales Brewing Company, an award-winning craft
brewery in West Chula Vista.

A balanced brew: With the help of his part-time hours, Steve has built a lasting
career – balancing his marriage of 17 years, raising his three children and
bringing his dreams to life.

“If you want to bridge the gap to open your business and get help with insurance
and benefits, come to UPS,” Steve said. “The paycheck is nice, but the insurance
and benefits are second to none.”

And that’s not all: Steve is also the co-founder of a nonprofit called the Emo
Brown Foundation, dedicated to community investment in Chula Vista, California.
