DONATE NOW WAYS TO HELP Serving our veteran community is at the heart of everything we do at Stand Down. We offer a variety of ways to help the veteran community from buying a brick for our Wall of Pride to attending the Annual Gala. Financial contributions help our non-profit organization to continue to provide much needed services & support to our veterans, active duty service members and their families. VETERANS’ SERVICES Stand Down is the premier provider of Veteran Services in Palm Beach County. We treat the seen and unseen wounds of the veterans and their families by providing supportive services, financial services, mental/medical health referrals, housing and vocational services. If you or a loved one is struggling with PTSD, homelessness or any physical wounds, Stand Down is here to help. VILLAGE OF VALOR Stand Down has embarked on a new initiative to provide safe and affordable housing to our military heroes and their families who have given so much. The Village of Valor will be a place that honors veterans and provides on-site resources. Our long-term plan is to end homelessness of our veterans and families in Palm Beach County. We will continue the fight until not one is left behind. Stand Up for Those Who Served Did you know that 11% of the adult homeless population is made up of veterans? Roughly 45% of all homeless veterans are African American or Hispanic, despite only accounting for 10.4% and 3.4% of the U.S. veteran population, respectively. I am so grateful for them. They really changed my life. They actually help you when you’re homeless and teach you the skills you need to prevent homelessness in the future. Stand Down helped us by paying a security deposit, paid our first month’s rent, and the utilities deposit needed to turn on the electric and water. We would probably be on the street if it wasn’t for Stand Down.
