with a free or paid account.

WHICH LANGUAGES ARE ACROBAT ONLINE SERVICES AVAILABLE IN?

Acrobat online services are available in English, Japanese, French, German,
Dutch, Italian, Czech, Danish, Finnish, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese
(Brazil), Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Chinese Simplified, and Chinese
Traditional.


CAN I USE ACROBAT READER DESKTOP OR THE ACROBAT READER MOBILE APP TO TRY THE
ONLINE TOOLS?

No, you can only try the tools from the Acrobat online services page or if you
sign in with an Adobe account.






USING THE TOOLS


HOW CAN I USE ACROBAT ONLINE SERVICES, AND HOW DOES ADOBE HANDLE MY DATA?

From the Adobe Acrobat online services page, select the tool you want to use and
follow the how-to steps. Acrobat online services upload your files to Adobe
cloud storage. If you sign in to use a tool or to save or share a file, Acrobat
will save your file to your Adobe account. If you don't sign in, even if you
download the file, Adobe soon deletes it from its servers to respect your
privacy.


DO I HAVE TO CREATE AN ADOBE ID OR SIGN IN TO TRY THE ACROBAT ONLINE TOOLS?

Without signing in with an Adobe ID, most tools let you complete one free
transaction and download the resulting file one time.

If you sign in with an Adobe ID, you can share, fill, sign, and comment on PDFs
for free. When you sign in, you can also try other premium tools. See below for
free limits.

ARE THERE FILE SIZE OR PAGE LIMITATIONS?

Acrobat online tools have the following limits:

 * Acrobat online tools support PDF files of 100MB or less, except for the PDF
   to Word and PDF to PPT tools that support files up to 200MB and the Compress
   PDF tool that lets you compress a PDF that is 2GB or smaller.
   
 * A maximum of 1,500 pages are supported by these tools: Delete PDF pages,
   Rotate PDF pages, Reorder PDF pages, Extract PDF pages, Insert PDF pages, and
   Crop PDF. When adding files to a PDF, each inserted file is limited to up to
   500 pages.
   
 * The Split PDF tool lets you split a PDF of up to 1GB with a maximum of 1,500
   pages into as many as 19 files.
 * With the Merge PDFs tool, you can create a merged PDF of up to 1,500 pages;
   you can combine up to 100 files, with each file having up to 500 pages. 
 * When you add a password to a PDF using the free version of the Protect PDF
   tool, you won’t be able to remove the password. To remove it, you must
   purchase an Adobe Acrobat subscription or sign up for a seven-day free trial
   of Adobe Acrobat Pro.
   


HOW MANY TIMES CAN I USE THE FREE TOOLS?

If you don't sign in to Acrobat web or Acrobat browser extensions with an Adobe
ID, you can only complete one free transaction and download the resulting file
one time. There are also a few tools that you can’t try without signing in.


If you sign in with an Adobe ID, you can fill, sign, share, and add comments to
files for free. To try other premium tools when signed in, free users are
subject to the following limits:


 * When trying premium tools, you can make one free transaction every 30 days on
   a rolling basis. For example, if you sign in for the first time on any given
   day and use the Convert PDF to Word tool, you've used one free transaction
   for the current 30-day period. If you access the Compress PDF tool 15 days
   later, you can't use it as you've already consumed your free transaction for
   the current 30-day period. To use a premium tool for free again, you must
   wait until the end of the 30 days.
 * Request e-signature transactions may be subject to extra limitations.

When you reach the free limits, you'll be notified online.

ARE MY FILES SECURE WITH ACROBAT ONLINE SERVICES?

Yes. To ensure your files are safe, Adobe uses the AES-256 encryption standard
and Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 for Acrobat online services. TLS is a
security protocol that provides privacy and data integrity for Internet
communications. It keeps data secure when being transferred over a network.


WHO CAN VIEW MY FILES?

All uploaded files stored in Adobe cloud storage are automatically labeled
Private, meaning that the files are only visible to you. You must take explicit
action to share a file or it will remain private.


WHEN WILL THE UPLOADED FILE BE REMOVED IF I DON’T SIGN IN AFTER USING A TOOL?

After using a tool, you must sign in to save or share your file. Otherwise,
Adobe will delete the file from the server within a short time period.
