The physics models behind CupCake have been developed over twenty years of ice

of several in-service systems. CupCake is a completely focussed approach to ice
protection system design. Unlike full CFD solutions that take many days to set
up and calculate a single condition, with CupCake you can evaluate many
alternative configurations over a full set of operational conditions in a few
hours. A complete run takes less than five minutes on a multi-core PC and
variations of heater elements can be configured and analysed in seconds.
