WHO ARE THE FRIENDS OF HOARWITHY? Think of us as a ‘virtual’ village club, an association of over 130 members who live in and around the Hoarwithy area. Hoarwithy doesn’t have any form of community hall, so we operate independent of a fixed location, organising a wide range of village events for all ages and interests. We are an informal, social group, our aim is to grow and maintain the community spirit in this lovely village. We are non-profit making, and we are also supportive of various local fundraising activities for good causes. More About FoH ST. CATHERINE’S CHURCH An impressive Italianate Romanesque and Byzantine building designed by the architect J.P. Seddon and built in the late 19th century. Our village church is a gem in rural Herefordshire with fine views of the village, river valley and surrounding countryside. More About the Church SAVING THE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT We have an active group in our community that is doing all it can to preserve and enhance our local environment. We organise litter picks, volunteer for water testing, re-wilding schemes and support for our environment in any way we can.
