THE GOVERNMENT BUYS ALMOST EVERYTHING!   

 
Selling to the government can be a profitable venture. Each year the federal
government purchases more than $200 billion worth of goods and services. State
and municipal governments spend an additional $20 billion. The Massachusetts
APEX Accelerator (formerly the Massachusetts Procurement Technical Assistance
Center) is powerful because it connects small business with the federal
government.

The Massachusetts APEX can guide you through the government procurement process
and provide you with information on how to become more competitive in the
government marketplace. Staff can help you determine if your company is ready
for government opportunities and how to best position yourself to succeed.

Whether you are new to government contracting or you have sought contracts in
the past, the Massachusetts APEX can help you! Bidding on government contracts
is a time-consuming, yet worthwhile process. Massachusetts APEX is here to guide
you through the process and give you information and referral on how to be more
competitive. Our services are free, confidential and easy to access.

Cash match for the cooperative agreement is funded from a legislatively approved
line item from the Massachusetts Office of Business Development to the
University of Massachusetts Amherst. The state-funded line item includes funding
for the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center for federal procurement
technical assistance services within the center. The Massachusetts APEX is not
funded under the cooperative agreement between the U.S. Small Business
Administration and the University of Massachusetts.
