A 45-year-old man was shot dead on a Bronx subway early Friday, with police
looking for three suspects who fled the train.
The unidentified straphanger was shot in the torso while riding the southbound D
train as it pulled into the 182 -183 St. station at 5:02 a.m., the NYPD said.
Photos showed first responders attempting life-saving measures on the man on the
side of the platform as the train was kept at the station.
Police have confirmed to The Post that the victim was shot in his torso while
riding the southbound D train as it pulled into the 182 -183 St. station at 5:02
a.m. The man was shot on the D train at 182nd St. Friday.
He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the NYPD
said.
Three suspects were seen fleeing the train, the NYPD said, with sources saying
they are thought to have had a verbal dispute with him before the shooting.
