FLORIDA HORSE PARK

Florida Horse Park, located in the heart of Central Florida, is a popular
destination for horse enthusiasts, as well as visitors who want to experience
the natural beauty and cultural diversity of the region. Florida Horse Park
hosts dressage, horse jumping, western dressage, cutting horse, polo, AQHA, and
eventing. The Horse Park is a 500-acre facility that serves as a venue for
various equine, agricultural, educational, and sporting events.



HORSE PARK CALENDAR OF EVENTS

The park hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as horse shows,
polo, clinics, competitions, festivals, concerts, and more. Some of the notable
events include the Grandview Invitational, a carriage driving event that
features international competitors and spectators. The Ocala Winter Circuit, a
series of hunter/jumper shows attracts top riders and horses from around the
world. The Florida International Three-Day Event, a prestigious equestrian
triathlon that tests the skills and stamina of horse and rider is also a Florida
Horse Park favorite.



HORSE PARK AMENITIES

The park also offers many amenities and services for its guests, such as RV and
tent camping, stalls and paddocks, trails and obstacle courses, arenas and
cross-country courses, and a clubhouse and pavilion. The park is open to the
public for daily use, and also provides educational programs and clinics for
riders of all levels and disciplines.



HORSE PARK MANAGEMENT

The park is managed by the Florida Agriculture Center and Horse Park Authority,
a state agency focused on the quality of Florida Horse Park facilities and
events.

According to the Horse Park Authority, Florida Horse Park is more than just a
place for horses. "It is a place where people can enjoy the outdoors, learn new
skills, meet new friends, and have fun. It is a place where the equestrian
community can thrive and grow, and where the public can appreciate the beauty
and value of horses."


FLORIDA HORSE PARK FACILITIES

Florida Horse Park is Florida's go to horse show facility for regional, state,
and local horse shows. (The Park is also known as Ocala Horse Park or Horse Park
Ocala.) With over 500 acres this state operated horse show facility has
consistenly served the equestrian community in a professional manner.

The park offers 320 permanent stables that are supplemented with temporary
stables during larger events. Florida Horse Park offers a 212' by 350' covered
arena with a clay and sand footing. Florida Horse Park offers four FEI level
dressage arenas and hosts many rated shows including Wellington Classic
Dressage, Western Dressage and the Ocala Eventing Series.


PARK CROSS COUNTRY AREA

Florida Horse Park provides a cross country area for eventing and cross country
trials. The cross country space may be set up in varied configurations for
different events using provided cross country jumps. The park has over 100 cross
country jumps, two FEI qualified show jumping sets, and the necessary barrels
for barrel racing.

FLORIDA CUTTING HORSE ASSOCIATION

The Florida Cutting Horse Association host several shows a year at Florida Horse
Park. Cutting horses are used to cull calves and cattle in ranch activity. Thus,
cutting horse skills are demonstrated at these horse shows in the form of
competition. 2024 Florida Cutting Horse Association Show Dates February 8-11
April 19-21 May 17-19 September 13-15 December 29-



OCALA POLO CLUB

Ocala Polo Club matches are held year around at Florida Horse Park including
women's polo matches. During the winter months, matches are held on Sunday
afternoons. In the summer, Ocala Polo Club matches are held on Saturday
evenings. Polo enthusiasts gather at Florida Horse Park to witness exhilarating
matches, where skilled riders and their trusty steeds engage in fast-paced
chukkers. The club’s idyllic setting invites tailgating, and spectators can soak
up the sun while savoring the action. Whether you’re a seasoned polo aficionado
or a curious newcomer, the Ocala Polo Club promises an unforgettable experience.



OCALA EVENTING SERIES

The Ocala Eventing Series is one of the most popular series of equestrian events
held at Florida Horse Park throughout the year. Eventing consists of dressage,
cross country jumping, and show jumping combined into one total score. Ocala

Partners of the Park sponsors a series of open eventing trials at Florida Horse
Park with events scheduled April - December. 2024 Show Dates April 28 May 26
June 9 July 14 August 18 September 22 October 27 December 22.

Over 50% of the funds raised by POP directly benefit Florida Horse Park.


STRIDE DRESSAGE AT FLORIDA HORSE PARK

STRIDE is an active riding and driving Dressage Club located in the Ocala,
Florida area. In addition to hosting five schooling shows a year, STRIDE
sponsors clinics, workshops and activities geared for ALL dressage enthusiasts
from beginner to advanced, in Traditional Dressage, Driven Dressage, or Western
Dressage.


SUNSHINE REGION PONY CLUB

"The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence
and a sense of community in youth.  All this is taught through a program that
teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding, and mounted sports." Also, the
Sunshine Region Pony Club sponsors dressage, show jumping, and eventing at the

WE ARE COMBINED DRIVING

We are Combined Driving is an equestrian driving organization sponsoring
combined driving events at Florida Horse Park. Additionally, Combined Driving
hold competions at several other equestrian facilities throughout the South.


WELLINGTON CLASSIC DRESSAGE

Wellington Classic Dressage holds several rated dressage shows at Florida Horse
Park each year that are very popular with dressage riders and viewers . Ocala
