It's possible that you'll experience service outages due to more than just inclement weather in your area. Wildfires, heavy winds, earthquakes and other events can lead to planned outages to protect our crews, customers and equipment. Sometimes, we may need to interrupt your service to perform routine or emergency maintenance, so that we can provide you with the best possible experience. FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO MAKE SURE YOU STAY CONNECTED ANY TIME YOUR SERVICES ARE UNAVAILABLE: * Make sure to sign into your online account and update your notification preferences to stay up to date with any alerts. * Download the My Spectrum app to manage your services from a mobile device. * Mobile and Internet customers can access more than 250,000 Spectrum Wifi Access Points nationwide. ki-info-circle-f Icon Note: If you experience an electrical outage at your home, you can stay connected to Spectrum Home Phone service with a battery-powered backup connected to your phone modem. Find out how to get your own battery backup through Spectrum. OUTAGE FAQS What should I do when my Spectrum services go out? Make sure you have power and try troubleshooting your Spectrum services. Once power and service are restored, you may have to reset and reboot your phone modem or your internet modem and router before you can reconnect your devices. What might cause a delay in restoring my services? There may be a delay in restoration services during severe weather conditions, even if you have power. Delays may be due to technical issues in our system, or one or more of the following factors: * Downed power lines or trees * Blocked roads, unplowed or flooded streets * Other dangerous situations The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority, and we appreciate your patience as we work to restore your services as soon as possible. Why don't I see your crews working on my street? The source of your outage may not be on or near your street. Know that we're working with local power companies to restore your services as soon as possible. There’s a tree leaning on a cable wire and the wire is hanging low. What should I do? Contact us to report any trees or branches that may be leaning on your cable lines. We’ll assess the situation and take the appropriate next steps as soon as possible. RESTORATION EFFORTS During an emergency event, employee safety is our top priority. As the storm clears and it's deemed safe for our technicians to return to normal operations, damage will be assessed and repairs will be made as quickly as possible.
