Business Events Industry Advocacy With Tommy Goodwin

industry in D.C. and beyond. Most folks know we've had the Meetings Mean
Business (MMB) coalition since the events of 2008-2009, and now we also have the
organization Tommy Goodwin represents, Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance (ECA),
a coalition of 10 professional, industry and labor associations that comprise
the unified voice of the face-to-face business events industry. On this episode,
we talk with Goodwin, ECA’s vice president, government affairs, about the
challenge of getting visas to enter the U.S. and the impact that has had on our
industry, the Kentucky legislature’s (failed) attempt to tax space rental for
exhibitors and sponsors, and more. Tarsus VP of Content Danica Tormohlen shares
some of the latest industry news from ENN, TSNN and CEN.
